I think this experiment is gonna end in a fungal infection and/or crotch-rot.
Sleeping in jeans seems uncomfortable aside from anything else and hardly worth the effort given how little you'll be moving around in bed. I'd rather sleep in my Calvin Klein pyjamas and then have the energy for a 12 mile hike in my IHs the next day!

I sleep in jeans almost every night. Not the same pants I wear during the day. I guess that is kind of strange, but whatever. Anyway, while I do agree that washing your pants is a good idea once in a while, I can say that I haven't experienced crotch rot or any fungus yet. My pants are not 25oz though so your results may vary. Good luck

I think most on the IH forum are strictly IH maniacs and not denim heads. It sounds like Mexico has been reading some of the other forums where not washing is a norm and in fact u get ripped if u say u wash ur jeans frequent. Before I found this forum I thought 1 to 2 years was what u were supposed to do from reading thru the nudie community.

Two years without a wash = not the best idea.
just ask ruedi (swissjeansfreak) about this…he NEVER washes his pairs...they look great, but also pretty dirty and thorn in some places...i think he could have prevented the rips if he´d have washed´em earlier, but in the end, it´s gonna happen anyway imo...no matter if washed or not!

imho washing/soaking is an individual ritual and personal lifestyle. it has nothing to do if IH maniac, denimhead or whatever. Just do what you wanna do imho, its your jeans
and listen to your inner voice, thats all what counts :). my personal opinion. I do not follow trends how to treat my trousers. peace

IMO hygiene is what's most important.

Well…you might as well use search function
Jawns are like other clothes, they are meant to be washed...nothing more.
With regular washing you won't get so pronounced, some would say predistressed looking fades, but more even and to me, appealing, fading throughout the whole jawns.
With regular I mean that they are washed when they get dirty...even after 1 days wear, or at least then when normal 24h airing doesn't make to smell go away fully, or the smell "gets back" soon after proper airing. Then you're jawns are dirty, even if they don't look dirty...
Also surface dirt causes abrasion and therefore makes jawns wear out prematurely. And if you postpone washing too long, result might be brownish dirt in the fabric that doesn't get off with washing, Then your jawns are "dirty" forever...That's something I personally hate.
Just IMHO, and written so nicely that it shouldn't piss anybody off....

Hey that actually was a pretty friendly post! hahaha
Anyway I'm pretty much in agreement. Dirt on your jeans busts up your threads… if you're into that look then by all means go for it.
Jeans companies instructing you to not wash your jeans for 6 months for 'best' results are actually hoping that you just destroy your jeans faster and then have to buy more. -

but to go 2 years? hmmm, i'll pass.
and i fully agree with IJ. we paid top dollars for these jeans and IH put in lots of effort to make these jeans. so i would never do anything unnecessary to get fantastic or crazy fades. just wear them as per normal and let them be whatever they will be.
btw IJ's post was very friendly for sure.
