IHSH-303-YEL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Western Shirt - Crazy Check - Yellow
-
Got mine today too, definitely an amazing shirt.
Damn fine looking shirt. I picked up a western and a work shirt and am trying to decide which one to keep!! Brutal decision. My lady says I have enough western type shirts (Not a single UHF mind you). I like the bit of added heft the extra fabric on the western has. Feels a bit heavier. The western is a bit more "Flashy" though. Which I like, but I really dig how soft the pattern comes across on the work shirt. Damn! I don't know what to do hahah

I've got this pattern in the workshirt version and quite like it. Workshirt flannels are more my style and they feel more comfortable overall. Especially more comfortable in the midsection area, yes but also less padding on the shoulders of a workshirt, in comparison to a western, which makes it more comfortable to layer a jacket over. Also, the pattern of this flannel s complex enough that the workshirt showcases it well without overdoing it but these are just opinions.

Here’s a couple pics of both cuts. I think I’m leaning towards the work shirt. Love that western weight and buttons though too. Think I’ll go with the work shirt….wait, maybe the western. Yeah. Def the western. Yup definitely the….work shirt. So lucky to have these problems.

They both look dope on you but imo I like the western look on you better. Hope that helps.
-
I can see the issue - they both look great. I’d vote work shirt
-
@Mizmazzle Work shirt for me.The western looks a little too big, and that combined with the bells and whistles make it look fussy. The worksheet is relaxed simplicity and looks great on you.
-
@Mizmazzle Work shirt is the better fit of the two iMO

@neph93 @LewisStonehouse @AdamJ @Briangouliquer thanks so much for the input. The Mrs. likes the work shirt better too. Her victory in this decision may just make my next purchase that much more plausible. Now, how will she feel "IF" those new 888 ODs show up on the doorstep???

Experience suggests that it is around item four or five that the spousal alarm bells start ringing [emoji1]

Especially in a single order

haha this is hilarious! Yeah, we are planning a wedding right now…not sure I could get away with even two at a time at the moment haha. She's the one who bought me the MTO Wescos that are in the pipes for January. It's not even my fault that I don't have a decent pair of black jeans to wear with them...really i'd say this is all her doing!

Oh, I'd love to be a fly on the wall at your house when THAT package arrives!!

@Mizmazzle just my two cents but I definitely say work shirt over the western as well.
-
I'm typically a Western guy through and through, but I'd say this particular pattern/color way looks better without the busy-ness of the Western bells and whistles

I went with the work shirt in this pattern, my first IH work shirt as a matter of fact.. I typically go Western but in this pattern I liked the work a tad better. It’s an awesome shirt.

@Joberwocky same with me. Love the western style. Wanted to love the western in this latter too. But ultimately, the work shirt won out on the eye test. Really great pattern in the work shirt. First time wearing it to work today. This thing is crazy warm!!
-
@Mizmazzle your fit looks spot on, glad you're digging it. I only have one IH work shirt, the solid blue 7oz flannel, so not having snaps on a UHF would be strange for me
-
@acboston I wore the shirt all day today for the first time. First UHF…I went from not 100% on the pattern at 8:00am...to Shit this was an expensive shirt by 9:00....to Damn, this thing is crazy warm by 10:00am to wow, this thing is really well made by 11:00am to Fuck, this might be the best shirt ever by 4:00pm,.....love the heavy way it drapes on ya!
