RDR (1) is a masterpiece as well…
I meant Micah's gun... The one he almost had you killed over in Valentine... The piece of shit...
huh i never realised that you could pick it up… or maybe i have... swore it went straight to a cutscene and credits.. might have to check again as i saved and stopped playing right after credits ended.
As a PC player I would welcome a remake of rdr 1 (which was never released on pc) for the pc with the rdr 2 graphics engine and references to Arthur and rdr2.
But that is just wishful thinking.

i've heard they're gonna do an rdr3. i wonder where they could go with the story line. seems well over after rdr1, maybe they could do a sadie adler spin off. gosh she's really fit

If you stopped playing after the credits, then that means you never played the epilogue with John?.. Yeah: time for you to return to that game!..
no, the credits come on after the epilogue..

mm. i'm more about the evans repeater. it has a greater firing rate to make up for my lack of skills using analog sticks. one of the main reason i don't play COD a games and the likes..

How the hell am I supposed to pick up Micah's gun, if the cutscene just continues to the end credits after I shot him in the balls 5 times?

don't take my word for it. i'm sure i remembered wrongly the more i think about it now.. i think there should be a break before the credits..

No, I finished yesterday. No break, no Micah gun in the inventory afterwards.

ahh right. so i did remember correctly. maybe try going back to the location to see what's left. i haven't played the game since last week after the credits…

You can go back and pick the gun up. Micah's body is still there. I grilled him with a Molotow Cocktail, because he deserved it.
I also spend hours roaming the world and revisiting people who interacted with Arthur, like the widow he taught how to hunt.
Oh, and of course I paid my respect to the man himself. Realy sad.

Yes, Rain Falls had an especially miserable fate. Poor guy.
Well, since I'm in the mood and RDR1 more or less continues the story of RDR2 I payed GameStop a visit. Let's see if I get this thing to run on an emulator on my PC.
The worst thing that could happen is, that I have to play it on the Xbox one, when the wife and the kids are in bed or sell it back to GameStop with a loss.

oof. i'm thinking of doing that too. especially since i have my old ps3 sitting around. it's just interesting to do things in chronological order.. not ocd…

I'm probably in the minority when I say this but I actually prefer RDR1 over RDR2. I've also heard they are doing a remake of RDR1 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

^ i've had a couple of mates say that too. but i haven't had the time to look for someone/ somewhere selling rdr1 to play on my old ps3. so we'll see how that goes..
i'm not too fussed about gameplay with rock* stuff. i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. so the storyline really holds it together for me with arthur..

If you like ninjas and samurais, the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and video games that are video-gamey, Ghost of Tsushima is really great. It kind of feels like an indie game with AAA graphics. I don't know if it the game of the generation like I was hoping for. But it succeeds in being fun and making you feel like a bad-ass samurai.
I really enjoyed the Last of Us 2 also. I didn't care for the story [at first]. But it really grew on me. I also go my first platinum trophy playing it, and actually played through the story 3 times. There's an accessibility option that lets you add slow motion aiming, so the game kind of can be Max Payne 3, super fun and addictive. The game is brutal and violent…
The resource management in the game is great because you're always low on ammo, you have to try and plan out your attacks. But there's always more ammo just around the corner. There are these flashbacks in between the chapters that are kind of boring and it would be cool if you can skip them in new game +, but you can't. Other than that, this was my favorite game in a long time.

I bought an LGCX OLED TV several months ago with my stimulus check and hotel points, and had instant buyers remorse when I read the HDMI 2.1 ports could only support 10 GBPS and not the full 12. They released this information roughly 31 days after I bought the TV and I was mad because I wanted to return it but I was outside the window. LG had said that the TV supported full HDMI 2.1 at CES but then backtracked so they could increase the internal processing memory for their AI upscaling engine…
But specs for the Xbox Series X were just leaked today and I feel a lot better because the Series X will have a maximum output bandwidth of 10 GBPS anyway. So the LGCX will support full 4k/60 and HDR with variable refresh rate (VRR). I feel very relieved.
