I surely can't be the only Japanese clothing aficionado around here to also be passionate about Japan's national sport!
Really enjoying the Kyushu basho. Terunofuji's looking unstoppable after Day 11, but still hoping someone gets themselves a kinboshi to give Takakeisho a shot at the yusho! He's been looking so strong; was gutted for him when he lost on Day 10.
Still rooting for Big Tochi to rustle up a semi-miraculous kachi-koshi. Come on, big fella!

Dude Mita and 'Keisho are doing so well this tourney. Crazy to think Keisho is only 25 and recovered after that gnarly neck injury a couple tournaments back. Teru is so methodical but I can't wait to see him go against one of the Ozeki's.
I have hope Enho makes his way back to Makuuchi. He was so fun to watch in the top flight

@J-IV Ayyyy! A fellow sumo fan! Yeah, Takakeisho's doing great. Terunofuji has such incredible technique and power, I feel that only a rikishi with somewhat comparable power has any chance at all. You're gonna have to get up preeeetty early in the morning as a smaller wrestler to catch him out with a cheeky Terutsuyoshi-style nekodamashi-to-leg-grab kinda move! That up-and-coming technician Hoshoryu looked like a mouse being batted around by a lion on Day 10. Which I thoroughly enjoyed after Hoshoryu's (in my opinion) scandalous decision to pull Takakeisho off the dohyo with him after he'd 100% already lost the bout on Day 9. I kinda wanna see Takakeisho give him a big, angry Hakuho-style throw right off the top next basho to teach the little brat a lesson!
So, yeah. Somebody's gotta beat Teru in the next few days and give Takekeisho that fresh yusho chance! Or there's always party-boy Abi waiting to pounce, of course! And ditto on Enho. Glad to see he's on the way to a solid kachi-koshi at the mo.

Just watched the final day and man what a statement Teru made with that match. Holy shit. Way to silence the doubters with this basho.
Hoping Mita gets a nod for Ozeki E for next year.
Hoping I can get some English dub on some matches since Hakuho joined the broadcast booth. Would love to hear his insight on rikishi's techniques and overall opinions on some of them (namely Shodai lol)

Right; Terunofuji absolutely crushed it. We needed one heck of a yokozuna to come anywhere close to filling the chasm left by the GOAT's departure, and Teru's doing a fantastic job. A fully deserved zensho yusho!
Saw that Enho just scraped that KK in the end, but hey… A kachi's a kachi. Good for him.
