IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Made from our signature 21oz indigo Japanese selvedge denim, these classic straight cut jeans are Haraki sans first jean design for Iron Heart. There is no other jean/denim combination that is so quintessentially Iron Heart. The denim has been treated to fade slowly, making these jeans a great choice for anyone looking for more traditional fades rather than high contrast. And they are made all the way up to tag 44” - including the hard to find tag 35”.

Daveo - TTS (W32) on my IH-634. Went with a (W33) on my IN-801's and IH-802's. Thanks! Can't seem to take these guys off, and I love it!

Well then you might be cool. I'm guessing you don't dig the fit on my 801? I figured that because I am going to washing those much more than my denim that I would size up. Shrinkage on the 801's should be easier from what I have gathered.
-
I actually do dig the fit on the IH801 (on me they are comfortable in the top block but not loose), but I don't think I would want to get a 634S in the same size due to the stretching.
Exactly. That's why I went true to size and they are easily my most worn pair the past few weeks. I have been wearing them as well as my SExIH07BK and IH-9634 as much as possible during these colder months so that when it heats up again I can switch to my SExDBxS09, Oki's, and SExFHxINAZUMA. Hopefully I can break the IH-634S in enough before then so it gets a spot in the rotation. And I am sure I will sneak in the BK's during the summer as I love that jean too much. Just trying to figure out some sort of schedule to this madness which is my collection. What a great problem to have to solve!

^ thats a lot of love for a lot of pairs. def think that the 634s is a jean that is perfect cut for all weather. be it cold bay days with heavy fog rolling in from the pond or warm streaks of sunlight bursting through with that nice wind chill factor we get during summer ::) i've always really liked the diversity of that cut.

My 634S have stretched about 2 inches in the waist. This took about 20 wears.
The general advise is to wear the jeans as long as possible before washing. 6 months is probably the mean.
No need to wash/soak these before wearing since they are sanforized and will not shrink.

Mine haven't stretched much at all, but I didn't size down when I bought them. The 21 oz denim seems to accommodate as much or as little stress you put them under.
It doesn't really matter when you wash them either. Wash more = fade faster. If you want to keep them darker, don't wash as often. They tighten up just a bit when you wash but ease out again within a day or 2

Hi guys, I have a question of the IH-634S jeans. I recently bought a pair and they were about 1inch or so too small to button up. Any ideas on how to stretch it? Also when should one do the first wash? Thanks
You could get one of those stretchers at the home improvement store. But the most important thing is to stretch them after washing (preferably cold) and to hang dry them while still stretching the waist from time to time. You will gain an inch pretty soon. Is there absolutely no chance you can button them? Meaning even with effort there is still an inch left? If so, they are in fact too small. Exchange them. If you can still button them with a little effort that's the best way to stretch them, even if it's uncomfortable. I am not a 634S expert but I think I read they will stretch 1.5 inches in the waist. Not sure if that makes it that much better that they will be comfortable. Giles will certainly help you answer that question more precisely. And welcome to the IH forum!
