IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Not to mention the added strength of the loops themselves…

Just got my first pair of Iron Heart jeans and I'm very impressed. I love how the top block fits but the lower leg kinda bothers me. They're a bit too long and the stacking makes me look super short, especially with how big the leg opening is. Nothing a quick trip to a tailor to get them hemmed couldn't fix though!

Congrats! You may want to warn your tailor to pick up some extra needles…

probably a good idea, I got a lot of Korean friends though so I'm sure one of their mom's can do it haha

Are the 634s belt loops sewn into the waist band like the 634sr?
The SExIH07 (including BK) and 634SR both have the belt loops sewn into the waistband, but the 634S (and S-B) do not. It appears that other than IH, most Japanese brands do not sew the belt loops into the waistband. I haven't seen it on any Samurais, SDAs, Sugar Canes, Onis, PBJs, or Eternals, for example.
The only other brands that I can think of seeing it on are Pace and Paul Smith Red Ear.

picked up my first pair of IH-634Ss this weekend at Self Edge

You would have to find out from G, but I agree I would love it. I have a feeling that Haraki-San has a reason why he chooses not to do it on them but I am just speculating…
So here is the reason that the belt loops are not sewn into the waist band of the 634S. When I tell you, you will not believe how obvious the answer is, I can't believe that any of us did not work it out for ourselves….. Haraki just has not got around to altering the pattern.
He will do soon.

STFU… Really?!?!?! That is hilarious!!! Looks like I am going to need a pair of the new version sometime next year...
-
The thing with the 634S is that is is in constant production. With all the other jeans, they are one-offs or sporadic. So introducing the chage in the 634S is more complicated than with the other styles. Hey, I know it's not rocket science, but hey. Anyway it WILL get done as Haraki considers the tucked into the waist band belt loop to be a good thing and an Iron Heart signature…G

I was not making fun of how long it may take. I was merely stating the approximate time that I could justify buying a second pair of IH-634S's. Haraki-San is too fast as it is for me. it has all finally caught up to me…
-
Cool I think Im gonna wait untill the new version comes out then.

LOL, that is funny! So does that mean that all other upcoming models of IH will have the belt loops sewn into the waistband as well?
-
Yes unless I spec otherwise
Cool, I like those sewn-in belt loops a lot. Is there any reason to spec otherwise?
-
Not for me, but one of my retailers may want to do an authentic '55 501 repro, in that case me may not want the sewn in loops. G
G Could I get a shout when you do get the new belt loops in.
Thanks
