I'm going to have to bow out of the tour. I've got a lot of family stuff going on that will prevent me from devoting the proper amount of time to doing this right, that's why I haven't been online much this year. Plus, it's been too hot where I live lately for me to wear jeans comfortably at all. I know it's sacrilege to say this here, but I haven't worn any denim at all in almost 2 months.

RE: IH-666Sod - Devil's Fit Overdyed - Super Slim Tapered
Dear God!!! Don't say that, my wife just gave me the ok on getting a pair!!!
So Matt, what size did you decide to get? I think I'm the same size as you and wanted to hear what you're going with.

RE: IH-666Sod - Devil's Fit Overdyed - Super Slim Tapered
Commodore
Why would waist stretch out too much?? If there is nothing to stretch it, it wont't stretch. Simple.
IME, that is not true at all. On multiple occasions, I've had jeans that were a little loose to start with stretch out to be way too loose within a couple of weeks, even with wearing a belt.
I think it has to do with how jeans fit your body when sitting vs. standing. Even if they are loose when you are standing, you stretch them out when you sit down in them.
Giles, any chance you might do a size 35 in these someday? I think the 34 for is too tight in the thighs for me, but the 36 will stretch out to be too big in the waist.
Possibly, but don't hold your breath…
Good to hear that it's at least a consideration. Won't hold my breath, but I will keep my eyes open for it.

I am tempted…

RE: IHSH-55 - Wabash Western
Got mine in yesterday, and I will confirm that these fit TTS for IH shirts. The measurements are bigger in the tables, but the material is so heavy that the fit ends up being pretty much the same.
Amazing quality on these too, this is probably my favorite shirt that IH has ever done. I am a sucker for wabash though.

RE: Momotaro
@Max:
No problem.
Momotaro has four lines:- vintage: 15,7 oz denim, raw, slimmest 0701, widest 0901
- Going to battle: white stripes, same 15,7 oz denim but one-wash, slimmest 0705 SP, widest 0905 SP
- Copper label: 14,7 oz denim, one wash
- the fourth is the natural indigo model.
What you are looking for, ist the going to battle series, the SP indicates it. The cuts are similar to the vintage label, but like I said one wash and with a shorter inseam (35" opposed to 39,5" raw, 36,5" post-soak).
The 0905SP is the classic wide, the 0805Sp and 1005SP are tapered with a lower rise, the 0705SP is the slimmest and lowest rise.
Hope this helps.
Thanks a ton Max Power!
Few more questions though: The jeans I measured only have a 31.75' inseam, and I can cuff those (3/4 -1 inch cuff), so 35 is going to be quite long. You said the SP's are one wash, so much of the shrinking is accounted for?
What sort of shrinkage could I expect out of those in the inseam, as well as the waist etc…?Thanks again!
The 705SP is both sanforized and one-washed, so I doubt there's much shrinkage left in it.

RE: Other Brands of Jeans
Oh shit. Could not find 29, so we went with 28…..
He might be able to stretch it out after shrinkage, or stick with cold soaks and washes, if his true waist is 28. But those Crazy Jeans do run the smallest of any SDA that I have owned so far, and I've owned close to a dozen models by that brand.

RE: Other Brands of Jeans
REALLY???
Yes! Yes! Yes!
thank you!!
My size, as you know, is L28/L29. In this case, I think 29 will be better. but I cant do easyly 28. Even 30.
I can dress everything from 28 to 30.I have a pair of the SP-005, and I can tell you that they run small. I would definitely go with the 29 or 30.

RE: IHSH-55 - Wabash Western
^^ That's a good point. I am not sure if Haraki intentionally upsized them, but the measurements are always the outside measurements. On a thicker material , the end result is that the internal measurement will be smaller than on a thinner material.
Anyway, I am normally and L and this fits a dream in an L….
I am normally an XL in IH, so I will order an XL based on your advice, Giles. Thanks!
