@popvulture curious about what it was they didn't work out with the 634 cut? Im finding my first and until now, only pair and might have to say they are my jam---for now at least
-
@dinobarnesberlin did I say that somewhere in this thread? Can’t remember. Whatever the case, 634s are my jam as well — I have like 5 pair I think. I have had a couple times though where a particular run was just cut a little different and I couldn’t get a size to work right for me (17N, ducks, 19L). I think in my particular case, the thing I’ve learned to watch out for is the back rise. If it’s too short it’ll give me a wedgie, which in my opinion isn’t the greatest look
I do wish that there could be an 888 with a straight leg / wider opening more like the 634 — that’d be my personal ideal. Thought the Beatle Buster would be that based on the measurements I’d seen, but now that I have some, I’ve found that they’re great but definitely more slim like a 666, albeit higher rise. For now, 634 reigns supreme as my cut.

@popvulture yea I think it might have been that 19L that you mentioned. I think that it just feels a little better with some thigh room--not that I have thunder thighs or something---but just that extra room feels good to me.
Ive got a pair of 14ib 888's that always feel good as well.
5 pairs ? haha---good on ya!! -
@dinobarnesberlin haha the denim disease is real!

IH-634S Restock -
Right in time for Christmas. I unfortunately added some pounds, my 31 inch waist is not fitting me anymore. Had to size up. Got one in the order! Can't live without the 634S 21. It is the best the world has ever witnessed!

@Oaktavia Is that a preventative measure to avoid marbling? I've never encountered marbling before personally, but I'm about to try a hot wash on my XHS with agitation, and I any chances I have to improve my odds, I'm all in.
Yes, this seems to help prevent marbling moreso than not soaking at all. The hour long soak I learned from @Jcaz6996 and @Kasi as I used to only soak for a few minutes. I would still get some marbling until I soaked for the full hour on a timer. Mo told me in person in Gosport that the hour long soak really helps allow the water to soak into the cotton fibers completely. I do not necessary dislike marbling perse, I just wanted to see if I could prevent it through trial and error.
When the jeans are only partially wet and partially dry in some areas during the washing cycle, this is when marbling may occur. At least from my understanding. The areas that are wet do not marble and the areas that are still dry while in the washer (obviously the jeans eventually become soaked) will get the white marbling marks from moving around machine. It could also be where the wet areas meet the dry areas, at the cusp. I think this is what causes it.
