Recently my brother's been shooting on an Olympus OM-D more than his big Nikon DSLR because it's so much smaller. He commented that he has a 75 to 300 mm zoom (equivalent to a 150 to 600 mm on a full-frame) that's the size of a can of Red Bull.
A Micro Four-Thirds camera with a pancake lens would be a similar size to a compact, and much more flexible, so might be another alternative to the Ricoh.

Nice! GR?

Yep, all GR it's all I have left and I love it!!!

Very nice, I just joined the Ricoh Forum. You should check it out.

This camera is so much fun!!!! Finn do yourself a favor and instead of buying your 15th pair of Vibergs this month. But the Ricoh GR.

Sorry, wrong thread

Seeing as this is the photography thread, most of the GR photos posted, to me (color correct Apple Cinema Display) appear overly contrasted/blown, regardless of the ISO shot at. Chuck's photos nearly all seem to be heavily vignetted, which IMO is also not a great look.
Not sure if there's any post-processing going on or not. None of the photos in this thread make me think of dropping $800 on this camera. I'd rather get an iPhone and process on that. Near the same level of clarity, certainly as portable.
For the near the price point & M4/3 format the Panasonic GX7 would be where my money is.
gets off his high horse.

@Snowy the photos are supposed to be extremely high contrast. You either like that style or you don't. I personally always have. If you like high contrast b&w check out the work of Daido Moriyama he is a famous Ricoh photographer. Btw I am sure that most of the people in this thread have their monitors color corrected.
