Wax Treasure (Vinyl)

@GraemeE I had a spell where I was big into the Dead. That has largely waned to my current perspective….Jerry/ The Dead have some true masterpieces of songs but there is a lot of it that does not float my particular boat.
This particular session with Grisman is some incredible playing of an excellent curation of songs. And this Mofi pressing sounds stunning.
-
@Mizmazzle I don't actually think I've heard it other than on cd through a crusty boom box.
I can imagine a mofi pressing on a good system would definately take it up a few notchesNot really being into live recordings kind of takes me out of the running to be a "true fan" but I have been able to track down copies of most of their studio stuff through the early 70s
Mars hotel is right about when I start to lose interest a bit

Bought this on Saturday

@J-IV , still hunting that nina on Bethlehem, cant seems to find a clean copy for a good price..
-
@GraemeE , yes thats fukui ,great recording for a gd price ..
-
@Mizmazzle other than that virgin suicides single you and I have the exact same records of theirs - I've never found a band that hits all the same brain receptors for me the way Air does
-
@GraemeE Bingo! RyoFukui's Scenery. Japanese reissue from a few years back.
@steelydan I hear ya, mines just a decent playable copy. Would love to upgrade but I haven't been able to find another out in the wild since

@Mizmazzle said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
Close my eyes, smoke a bowl, sip a bourbon, and get lost in the music.
Oh man that sounds like heaven

Rainy Friday morning in the PNW:
I would love to own an original of this one at some point but the re-issue brings me plenty of joy
