@Aetas it's a great album of spoken word and smooth music
The composer is Mort Garson who you might recognize from Plantasia and many other rad lesser known albums

Nice soundtrack this morning

My favorite song of this record from 1995 is ‚FOR ALL I CARE‘.
Not much time for records at the moment, so I did this as a random pick tonight.
Lo and behold a good old Rock’n’Roller.
Loved Steve’s live performance back in the time of Dream Syndicate- The days of wine and roses Mindblowing for a seventeen year old.
Here his KEXP performance of ‚Amphetamine‘ with The Miracle 3.

@GraemeE Just started browsing through this thread, and saw your Soft Machine album, which I had. Saw them open for Jimi Hendrix at Hunter College in 1968. One of my favorite lyrics from Why are We Sleeping…Begins with a blessing,Ends with a curse,Making things better by making them worse. Just seeing that album cover brought back that memory.

@Aetas - i’ve seen Steve Wynn and M3 live i think in 2003, playing in front of 200 people audience. To this day one of the best concerts i’ve ever been.

This Dream Syndicate from 1982 was standing next to the solo Steve Wynn I showed before.
Thought about how to order records again…
Once in ‘High Fidelity’, they talked about to do it autobiographical.
Nonsense or not I rewatched the movie last night and look what record was displayed. TNT!

Tortoise ha!! What a wonderful band
I keep my records ordered alphabetically by author
Top shelf - right to left, bottom left to right -
@Aetas said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
TNT
Have you been able to find a good copy of that one yet?
I remember it was on your list earlier in the year
-
@GraemeE great choice.

Ha I love that High Fidelity grab — I’ve never made much effort to scope out what’s actually in the racks at Chanpionship Vinyl. I spy Lucinda, too. Good picks.
