Bought it as a CD by the time of its release, knowing only the producer Steven Wilson and didn’t know anything about prog metal growls.
Was shocked at first, but this album grew on me over the years @Tago-Mago. -
I normally don't pick up comps when I'm thrift store hunting but I don't have any fahey on my shelves so I grabbed this one

Love that album @Aetas got it when it came out, as well as his collab with No Means No.
But here it‘s of course the Animals cover and Full Metal Jackoff, a 14 min masterpiece.

Funny story how I got the Lard record. My first internship abroad was 1992 at the Maudsley in London. Wanted to a have look at Alternativ Tentacle's London office. So, what you had was the address from the back side of a record cover and an AtoZ (the London map in book format). Went far out in the North of the city and walked ages to their office. Found them actually open, bought the record and a tee with the cover foto printed on the front. That tee was a major outfit of me in the 90s. No internet, no pictures ahead. Just a nice little adventure in a foreign city. Kids can't have that anymore nowadays.
