IHSH-352-BLU - 10oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Blue
-
Ok thanks for the super fast feedback !
If anyone has some more fading example, it would be really useful
-
@freecard I’m about ten days in with mine, I’ll try and hold off a few more days before it’s first wash then I’ll upload the results? Looking at it at the minute, I’d say the fades are going to be very bright electric blue
-
@Oaktavia I can’t even imagine how good one of these would look if you put one through its paces!!
-
cant wait to start wearing mine. ... it is still well over 20 C here ...

@stichdown-shell just a few quick and dirty pics, I think a wash will bring the fades out a bit more so I’ll post some better ones post-wash. Took a long time to start fading and what would usually be a whitish fade line on a non-overdyed shirt is now very blue, so I’m guessing the overdyed red would fade into a red line? I think
-
@DeeDee85 wow your shirt looks pretty awesome how it is fading already. With the blue overdye process, I would think the fades would eventually turn white. Isn't the core of the threads still white? And for the red one, would it fade to a lighter red then to white? Electric pinks?
-
Fades are very mild in my Red, but I think it fades to blue -> white unless there is a rip/hole that exposes red dyed weft. A bit similarly to beige weft jeans on backround that fade to blue and white
-
@Oaktavia I agree yeah, I think the first sign of fades would show a bit more of the overdye colour (either bright red or bright blue) and then that would eventually come off to show the original white thread colour. Definitely an interesting idea by IH either way. I bought this when I didn’t really have any idea about fades but just thought it a beautiful shirt. Was then a bit disheartened to realise it would fade incredibly slowly but am now looking forward to seeing what happens now things are finally happening
-
@aksu that looks awesome!!
-
@DeeDee85 yeah! I like the colour as it is. Fades are just extra and they come a bit slower than for 33 variations I think
-
@aksu I’m just about ready to switch from my winter rotation of stuff to the summer so I’m thinking I may have to get the red one out now and work on both at the same time
-
@aksu yours really does look amazing though, somehow red and blue at the same time without being purple would love to see some more pics of it.
-
@DeeDee85 Thanks for posting these. They are coming out nicely. Slowly but surely. Keep us posted.
-
@aksu That's looking great. Thanks for posting this. Very cool.

Around 25-30 wears in and freshly dried from its first cold wash. Very stubborn and very hard to capture how this looks in person but things are starting to happen..
The wash seems to have made it a much brighter blue too!

@Jcaz6996 thanks mate, made the rookies mistake of starting with an OD piece sticking it out though, so comfy with how soft the 10oz is. Do you still have yours?
