DC4 Berlin - premium Japanese denim
-
After 3ish hours of looking, I asked in Burg & Schild for the address. Turns out I’d walked past it a couple of times. Difficult to spot to say the least :). No photos, as my phone died.
Saw the ONI collaboration. Tried on the jeans… Tried on the type III...

The denim is amazing. It’s such a loose weave, it really does not feel like 20 oz. Plus the texture :). It’s so slubby!
I spent quite a while deciding :).
He was telling me how long it had taken to get the collaboration with ONI underway. “The guy is 70 years old. He just does what he wants”.
Apparently their next collaboration will be Momotaro in a few months. There’s a redesign for the website as well. The new store was very difficult for me to find, but I’m sure it’ll be great when everything is sorted. Especially the step that is currently held in place by a sewing machine.

He is also working on another collabo with a well known japanese denim brand (not IH though [emoji31]).

Just back from the "Denim Hang" at DC4 in collaboration with Rope Dye (the online magazine). Felt great to touch base with some familiar faces and get to know some new ones. Coolest jeans seen (my totally subjective view obviously) were the Rogue Territory ones worn by Victor from Texas, sort of guest of honour this evening. Disbelievingly saw the first Berlin snow flakes of the season falling through the window just before it was time to rush home again… brrrr!
