IHSH-368-IND - 14oz Double Cloth Western Shirt - Indigo
-
I asked a similar question in either this or the other thread and was told it's more similar to what an unbrushed uhf might be, soft, and a little squishy. It sounded like it might have too much overlap for me with an indigo kersey (face differences aside) because it also seems to have many of the same characteristics as for warmth, same fabric weight, drape, soft, squishy, etc. Yet I still keep coming back to this double faced fabric...
-
@pechelman - thanks. If it is like the kersey then it’s a great shirt!
-
To be clear, that's just the impression I got and could be wrong. I've not handled the double cloth. Would love to hear other thoughts just like you @Crispy-Heron

@Crispy-Heron
it’s something new, don’t think it’s really comparable to other shirts. It’s soft and super nice to wear . It’s definitely warm and I think it will fade awesome. As I wrote before, this really surprised me in a more than positive way. Didn’t expect it to be that nice .
If I had to describe it , I would say it’s a mix of the moleskin and the 18oz overdyed shirt with a little unbrushed UHF feeling
love it -
@Daniel-San - thanks buddy. You have me tempted. Would love to see (and feel) the fabric before deciding to pull the trigger ..
-
It’s amazing, unlike anything really, def a good buy. I love it, one of my favorites. Just be careful about snags.
-
Does it snag easily? Whereabouts? I noticed the waffle
shirt does very easily too
Got to say i love this shirt on day three today -
@Andymac maybe it’s just me. I think my neck lanyard at work might be snagging it. I just pulled the loops thru to the inside. It’s a pretty loose weave though and I tend to snag loose weaves but I love em so I keep buying them. Just watch out for anything rough or spiky.

@WhiskeySandwich
Thanks for that pal -
This shirt is so good, a special one
-
@doubletee dude it really is. Cozy af. Can’t wait to see one faded to hell
-
@doubletee nice fit man. Loving mine. Need to wear it harder I think. Trying to avoid babying it too much.
-
Some fading coming in around the cuffs, don't plan to wash this anytime soon either.
-
This shirt is so awesome
-
Not much contrast elsewhere, but bags on the cuffs like.
-
Hands down my favourite shirt, I love the UHFs but think I'll defo be getting another denim shirt. Possibly a black one next time round. Plan to beat the **** out of this one first
-
Agreed it is a special shirt for sure
-
@LeDuc_RW @WhiskeySandwich since both you guys have hot washed yours…was there much shrinkage post wash? If there was, was the change fairly evenly throughout the entire shirt?
I am thinking to do a hot soak to shrink mine a smidge to get it fitted perfectly…so any insights from you guys or others with this great shirt and have washed it would be super helpful!
Thanks
-
@Misacampo77 I don’t think it shrunk much. Whatever I did get I’m sure it’s loosened back up by now because it’s such a loose weave. I’d recommend gently hand washing this one to avoid the layers skewing against each other. A hot soak couldn’t hurt for trying to shrink though. Inside out should help avoid lines. Let us know how you make out

@Misacampo77 i agree with @WhiskeySandwich i didn’t get much if any shrinkage out of mine and it was a hot soak for sure. Like said if ya did get any it’s definitely going to loosen back up
