IHJ-139-IND - 19oz Selvedge Denim Type II Jacket - Indigo/Beige

Hi, @Steve can I ask if you can 'fit' in a medium for these jackets? The size guide indicates (using a reference jacket) that I could wear a medium but you are very close (except I'm 5' 6" and 74kg) to my measurements and you wear a large. I won't be layering only wearing a tee shirt under.
Any thoughts?

@Horsecart pics of me in a Medium and Large. I could wear a M, it would be snug done up, but would be fine in just a tshirt. Going by your size, I think a medium would fit you perfectly.

I received the jacket today in L, but it fits a little too tight. I can't close the top button. Will XL make much of a difference in length? The length is also feels too short.

It does look good as an open piece and the length is right where a type 2 length should be, you are going to get about an extra 0.7" in length in the XL so perhaps mark out where that would land on you to see if you would be happy with the XL

On type II jackets, I only button the middle 3 buttons, leaving the top button and bottom buttons undone. I think the jacket looks pretty good, but fit is subjective and you have to be comfortable.

Couldn't be more satisfied! Perfect fit and the denim feels incredible. Sturdy yet not to heavy! I'll do a hot soak tonight and then I'll wear this one probably everyday the rest of 2025I'll keep on updating the journey.

@Oaktavia Thanks man, appreciate it! Yeah what can I say. I've been wanting a type I or II for so long, having had a hard time to decide which type and all the ones I've tried - vintage or reproduction always been a huge disappointment. Gotta love IH even more now owning this one. Combining two types in one and delivers a perfect cut. Not to boxy and not to short, which I've always found on every other I've tried.
I'm looking forward to how this will look like in a couple of months. I'll make sure to upload the progress
