I received my IH-9527J - XL today. The quality of the product is top notch. When I first wore it, I was awed by how stiff the denim was. It felt pretty damn weird at first, but it grew on me.
The jacket is extremely well made. as expected of an iron heart product. Besides a little fraying of the threads, everything else is perfect.
My shoulder sizing is 18.5 inch. Chest sizing is 42 inch. The XL fit pretty damn well. It's not too fitting nor was it too loose. I normally just wear my jacket over a 4 - 6 oz T-shirt so it fits comfortably.
The only problem I would say is the length of the sleeves. It's a tad too long for me. It goes about half an inch or so below my wrist when I unzip the sleeves. However, it is perfectly fine when I zip it up.
Even though, I should be able to squeeze into a L. I reckon it would be too fitting. Doubt I would be able to stretch my arms around much. Clothes that are too fitting makes me look like a sausage!
All in all, this is becoming one of my favorite jackets. A definite must buy!

Seul is correct, I wouldn't worry about the length of the sleeves + the arm combs on this jacket are some nicest you will ever see (this is true for any superblack item IH makes btw.)…

sidenote:
it's riders jacket, so I assume it's meant for ridin' a motorcycle. (or at least to mimick one) In that perspective the sleeves are just correct lenght. When you rise your arms straight forward and grab imagined handlebar the sleeves should end at the wrist, and no tightness should be felt in back.
This is just how proper riding jackets are built. (my Vansons sleeves end almost to my knuckles when unzipped)
All this without having tried on that particular jacket and seen only pics of it. Styling is after classic Cafe Racer jacket to my eye.

yeah, even with my arms raised it is still a tad long. i'm glad to hear that the sleeves will shrink a little eventually.
thank you guys so much for your invaluable input!
I usually wear a leather jacket. This is my first denim jacket. Can't wait to see how it fades and wear out over time.
Cheers.

A superb jacket, but don't expect the supablack denim to fade and/or wear out, unless you work that thing supa hard core - you'll develop nice combs and creases with the denim, but it's not gonna fade.
