Haha was only planning on picking up one of these OD UHFs but I got paid early and I have skipped flannels I liked only to regret it down the road...
-
@Oaktavia I can't regret enough no taking the Herringbone black UHF from last winter ... Still crying deep inside ...
-
@Raisinoux hah same goes for me with the 20th anni UHF...UGH!
-
If this new process of overdying overstock of flannels comes back every winter i will need a new wardrobe, i would go for the brown and yellow OD from this season ^^ @Oaktavia
-
@Raisinoux hah it is a super cool and innovative way to save the "extra" products and rebirth them into something better (imo). That and I can't think of other brands that overdye flannels, correct me if I'm wrong.
-
You're right, never heard about that before, the one who got this idea in the IH crew needs a promotion !!! @Oaktavia
-
Can someone please explain the purpose/benefit of an over dyed fabric/flannel? Why is desirable, or undesirable? I've never owned one before. Thanks in advance.

I like the subtlety of the flannel design under the od, that it will evolve in an unknown and possibly interesting way, that the shrink is totally and completely out, and just cuz.
The od anni uhf I have feels warmer than some of my other ones maybe from how the process tightens up the fabric. Or it's just in my head.

@stichdown-shell I’ll go out on a limb here and say in all likelihood, there has never ever been an over-dyed flannel shirt before, and who knows there may never be any others, and 5 years from now people will be flat out begging for IH to do it again, and so many people will be saying the can’t believe they passed it up. And it’s not just any random flannel shirt,it’s,after all a flippin UHF. Enough from me. Someone correct me if I’m wrong about these being unique.
-
@pechelman I read your post and wasn’t 100% sure. I stand partially corrected because I do believe that down the road people will be asking for them to do it again. Thanks for setting me straight.

@Jett129 Thanks for your reply. I tried to find/google images of what an OD flannel would look like with some wear. I'm curious.
