IHM-37-GRN - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Army Green
-
Nice that the sleeves are shorter this year (at least in my size).
-
Can someone school me on the pros and cons of the oiled vs non-ouled version of the N1? Is the oiled version greasy or cold feeling? Is it harder to keep clean? Anything else to consider? Thank you.
-
@samo its a more waterproof version of the original it has in my opinion a better look the pockets are more seemless and it is slightly more heavier.
-
@samo I picked up the olive one last year and it doesn’t feel greasy or cold like waxed jackets do. Also, the inside of the pocket on the outside side is wool lined and that feels nice on the hands, much nicer than waxed jackets. No issues keeping mine clean.
It’s a very warm jacket. I picked up the black A2 this year and they each have their own temperature ranges. A2 is 40 - low 50F. Oiled N1 is 30 to 45F, maybe even lower. Both wearing just a t-shirt. I can sit inside and not overheat in the A2. No chance in the oiled N1.
-
It would be good to see this next to last year's ODG version.
-
-
@AdamJ Thanks heaps.
-
@goldstone0 No problem, I thought I preferred the ODG but, think I prefer the Army Green seeing them compared!
-
Been a long wait but grabbed an XL. Looking forward to it!!
-
I have the Olive version from last year in XL -- great jacket.
I see the color change with Army Green, but has the fit or material changed? If so, in what respect(s)? -
@AdamJ hate to be a pain but can you add a khaki one to the mix lol! I wass see the difference between the 3 because the Khaki I have I swear is green too.
-
-
@samo you wont regret it these are fantastic jackets.
-
@JohnM the sleeves are shorter this year for one.
-
Decided after a couple of seasons that the conventional sizing advice on my olive oiled N-1 has me "okay" but too small, and the measurements on the new army green with slightly shorter sleeves has me trying out going up a size, maybe 2... Combine that with I now have a local IH retailer with Fountainhead picking it up, so I'm trying out the XL and XXL. I hear from them also that the army green is absolutely gorgeous.

2nd day of UPS saying it'll be delivered by the end of the day and still no sign of it:( I'm guessing UPS stands for Useless Postal Service!!
-
Another email saying it'll be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed

Got it today. Size L, I have enough space on the chest (108cm).
Great jacket! Does it look a bit too small on me with the lenght? What do you think of the fit overall.
