IHJ-135-IND - 13oz Oxford Cloth Riders Jacket - Indigo
Our traditional rider’s jacket, constructed from 13oz indigo Oxford cloth with a tartan check lining. Designed for a streamlined fit to decrease wind resistance - this cut features zippered cuffs, a snap fastening collar and a tack button secured hem, with action bi-swing shoulders for increased manoeuvrability.
A new fabric for FW24, the heavy Oxford cloth used in construction is woven with double, untwisted yarns. This creates a plain weave with a relatively stiff hand, encouraging the indigo dye to fade quickly and with lots of contrast in high-wear areas of the fabric.

I’m incredibly excited for this! It looks like it has sky blue tartan lining for the Japanese market; are we getting that, or the red?
-
@Alex thank you so much! I’m wondering… will this fade like the indigo double duck jackets? Thanks again!
-
Would you be able to comment on the thickness of the fabric and lining? Looks like it’s quite a bit bigger than the 21 oz rider’s jackets, especially in the Chest and Waist. Thanks again!
-
The short length of a riders jacket isn’t really for me but I really hope it does well enough to consider making other pieces in this fabric.. it looks absolutely incredible!
-
@DeeDee85 Agreed, the fabric looks very nice. I’d really have to try this one on to make an informed decision. Love the blue lining though.
-
@Mister_Brue me too, I just feel a little out of my comfort zone in a riders style jacket. Here’s hoping for a type 3
-
@DeeDee85 I don’t need another Type 3 either!
-
@Mister_Brue me either to be honest… a shirt then eh? You can never have too many indigo shirts, that’s just a fact
-
How’s the sizing on this jacket if I wear a medium size flannel shirt should I size up from a medium to large
-
It will depend, at least in part, on how you want to wear it. I'm almost always between large and medium in IH shirts. I usually go M in work shirts and L in westerns depending on the measurements. That said, I went M in this and it's a trim fit which is traditional for a rider. A UHF under this is pushing the limits but doable if I'm wearing it zipped up. Unzipped is not a problem. If you want a more relaxed fit, or if you need/want more length in the sleeves or body then you may want to size up. I hope that's helpful.
-
This is over a 7.5oz tee. I'm 5'9" and it hits right at my waistband.
The fabric has a rustic feel with plenty of texture.
-
@krebsy that looks like it’s going to fade like crazy! Congratulations on the pick up and please let us see some progress updates!
