IHDR-502-ODG - 12oz Cotton Whipcord Cargo Pants - Olive Drab Green

It’s for sure an upgrade. These are epic. Trying to decide if I need the khaki too

I’m looking at pictures on the website and earlier in this thread and wonder if these pants are as shiny as some of the pictures make them out to be? Does anyone have pictures of their pants that they could post? The khaki version doesn’t look like they have a shine to them …
Thanks in advance.

@Denman-John I had the Khaki's on the other day: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/840050
There's a bit of a sheen to them, for sure. Would you like me to take a picture up against another fabric in particular? I'll try to sort you out if I can.

@EdH Thanks for reaching out ~ much appreciated! I’m just trying to figure out the colours offered. Is the new khaki version similar to the original olive colour? The ODG look much darker than the original olive colour from what I’ve seen. The sheen has caught my eye in some pictures and isn’t there in other pictures. Does the sheen get muted with wash and/or wear or are my eyes playing tricks. They are both beautiful colours and would be happy to rock either one. Then there are the 738 cargo pants to consider which are scheduled to drop sometime soon …

It's hard to convey colour through a screen, as so much can change with lighting when the picture was taken, the screen's quality and settings, etc, but I'll do my best.
So I have the Khaki version. I will say that the colour in person is more vibrant than appears on my screen when I'm looking at the photographs that the Crew took. But the colour can play tricks on you and it depends what you put it up against.
Here I have photographed it next to my 888 Ducks for reference to something you might already have, and the 735-KHA. The photo was taken under mid-strength sunlight coming through a window.
You can see that the colour is closer to the 735-KHA than the duck-brown, but it's definitely more vibrant than the 735-KHA, but not on the level of the ducks.
As for the sheen, it's subtle when viewed from a distance, see the image in my WAYWT picture above for what it looks like in an indoor, artificial lighting setting, but is more prominent in sunlight. See below for a macro taken under the aforementioned mid-strength sunlight.
So its not like the new bomber jacket, where the tight nylon really catches the sunlight (IMO). The space between the 'cords' on these mutes the overall sheen somewhat. And you can see from the area in shadow that the sheen isn't there under all lighting conditions.
I haven't washed these, so cannot speak to whether that mutes the sheen effect just yet.
Hope that helps, but let me know if you want to see these up against any other fabrics and I'll see what I can do from what I have available.

@EdH Once again, thank you so much for your detailed reply!!! To my eyes, your pants look like a proper khaki colour and I think they look great. I was checking out the Division Road website and their pictures show a different hue of colours. Their khaki pictures almost look like the duck colouring and their ODG have more of a dark brownish (olive?) hue than green. I’m contemplating between the ODG and the 738’s in army green, so I have a few more days to overthink this before the 738’s drop.

@sabergirl They're banging, get yourself some.

@T4920 That's correct (the Khaki colourway).
@Tago-Mago @goosehd you might want to move the discussion above of the 'sheen' on the khaki colourway to the correct thread. As the Q was asked here I answered it here, but appreciate it's possibly getting confusing.
