Hard Drinkers, Lets Drink Hard (Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails)

Okay @mclaincausey wish me luck… Hopefully I don't have an aneurysm like I did last Wednesday drinking the Mickey's.
-
Well, four shots in and I have a nice mellow buzz. No head/ neckache yet. I have anxiety thinking about what a sorry state I was in the last time I had anything to drink. The mezcal tastes like buttery smoke mixed with tequila. I'm probably not gonna temp fate and drink anything else and wait and see how I do. I have some cigars on the way so maybe in a couple more days when they get here I'll probably have some of this mezcal over ice and with the salt they have on the included brochure, and a cigar.

@mikebarhoot I guess you can get Blantons in Texas, next to impossible to find in my neck of the woods. Ridiculously expensive when you can find it Do you collect the tops?
-
Yes. Well. With my brothers. 1 bottle is oldest brothers. And we have about 6 tops.
I actually found/bought my bottle in Nashville. My brother got his in College Station (where i am this weekend).
-
That’d be cool. Thanks!

I have A,S and T which is currently on top of an extremely rare bottle of Straight from the Barrel Blantons. My brother got it for me last time he was in the UK. If any of these work for you let me know. @mikebarhoot

Update: In case anyone is interested, all three gins were worth drinking but there was a clear split between the men and women present last night.
All three gins were served with the same tonic and an appropriate garnish (l to r: rosemary/pink grapefruit/mango). The men all preferred Juniper Green but the women went for the Cotswolds. Make of that what you will!
We also learned the meaning of bladderwrack (one of the botanicals in Hills & Harbour, not the consequence of drinking too much gin :D)

Fallen Angel black rum. Aged far longer than dark rums, it has a black, liquirice colour, slightly sweet but smokey flavour, almost chocolate like. I don't drink with mixers, but imagine it works well with cola.
Coastal botanical were very much a trend for some gin distilleries this past couple of years, here are 2 of the best we've sampled
And finally, a coastal botanical mixer for rums. Based on an old recipe from West Cornwall, apparently used to mix with rum that contained sea water after wreckers sunk ships for their loads… Sales artistic licence maybe, but tasty nonetheless

Sincere gratitude Jett! Will be taken to the tailgate house next trip. Shown on XHS and XHSBB.
