Tomorrow, if the shipment does not get held up by
Lets-Feck-Up-Free-Trade-and-General-Enjoyment-Of-That-Foreign-Stuff-Para-MilitariesUK Customs and Excise. But, if it does come Matt, we leave the office at 4pm tomorrow (Familial duties beckon)….
Thanks Giles, I'm away at the moment at a conference but if there's any 38s left by Monday I might see if I get away in time to come by and try to pick between these and the overdyed 634s. I know what you mean about customs, I still can't believe it when I get a package in the mail from outside the EU and get hit not only with the 20% VAT, but also the handling charge for the privilege!
I hope they're enjoyable family duties anyway, all the best,

Hi G, just curious how long until we might see 38" from the next run?

Excellent!

Where my gray jeans, Giles?

How much length are you likely to lose on the inseam due to shrinkage (I know they're sanforised :D) and creases? I'm sure that I read something here about losing an inch due to the latter, but can't seem to find the reference.
I think the stiffer the denim the more length you lose with creases, so with the regular 634s being quite soft it's not as marked as say the 634-XHS. I guess Giles can fill us in on how soft these are, but I haven't noticed any appreciable shortening on my 634s and I would expect these to be similar…
Giles - PM sent re 38s, thanks!

MattI know what you're talking about, huge annoyance. I have had the experience that it depends on the firm handling the shipment. When I received something from the US via one of the courier services, can't really recall FedEx, UPS or whatnot, I was punished with a handling charge by them on top of a really bad customs fee. When it was DHL, who took over our national German postal services, at least it was only customs, no handling fee. You may try, in the future, to find a shipment provider in your area that behaves like DHL here, good luck!
