IHSH-07-IND - Hickory Stripe Western Shirt - Navy
-
@Jbailla2 Sorry, didn't get the chance yesterday, but just did a little try on.
Both of these are 44/XXL. I'd say the material on the Studio D'artisan feels a bit more substantial, really a very nice fabric, although the IH is plenty robust.
Biggest difference is probably the fit. IH wins here for me (as is often the case), but might be a different story for you. The IH has slightly longer arms, which is always a plus in my book as I have very long arms, and feels a bit more roomy in the chest. The SDA is quite wide in the shoulders at 20.5 inches (works out fine for me), yet is fairly slim in the arms. If you have big arms and especially forearms I'd say this might feel a bit cramped. Keep in mind this might loosen over time, this SDA is unworn at this point.
Another difference is the fabric pattern. The SDA has quite wide stripes of equal width of indigo and white. On the IH the indigo stripes are wider than the white, at about 2:1 I'd say. This gives the overall effect that the IH appears darker than the SDA. You could perhaps say that the IH has a more understated, elegant look.
I'd give the nod to the Iron Heart, it's essentially spot on in every way. The SDA seems very good though, and might be a better option if the fit is right for you and you value the heft of the fabric.
Hopefully that was helpful.
(And to be clear this was comparing the IHSH-274-IND to the Studio D'Artisan D5335H)

@JunkPants , thank you very much! Great info.

-- I totally see that in the photo comparison with SDA on the left and IH on the right.

@Jbailla2 No problem man, glad if I could help out!
I hadn't thought about the pattern difference until I saw them side by side, and then it was quite clear, as your photos show very well.
A quick comparison pic. Right click and open it in a new tab for larger size. (Keep looking and you'll get dizzy before long):
Edit: The pattern on the SDA is rather similar to the IHSH-91 (wasn't familiar with this shirt).

Any idea on when these will be re-run? Looking for a XXL
-
@Graham thanks mate
-
Fit pics -- and are the pockets supposed to be even placed? This 1/2" feels like a universe.

@indigostiff the beautiful story you get to tell if anyone says something is, “well, it’s a hand made garment, so this is a cool byproduct of that. Check out this fabric and stitching!”
-
This seems to be a problem with other IH shirts --
-
That looks a little more extreme than should have been let through QC - if you're not happy, drop a note with your order number to shop@ironheart.co.uk and we can take it from there
-
-
Sized up from a L to an XL - worthy.
Y’all have a customer for life
-
@indigostiff Great fit on that. Just can't beat the 07 can you.. looking back it was probably the shirt that kickstarted my obsession too!
-
@indigostiff oh nice man!! Glad to hear you got things all sorted out. The only thing better than the IH customer service are the clothes themselves. So much to love about it all!!
-
While my buttons appear to be Permex indeed, they're not "White Iron Heart logo’d Permex snaps" as the website states - they lack the logo'ing - perhaps correct?
-
@indigostiff they're the standard snaps for this shirt.
Website doesn't mention them being branded.
The branded Mother or Pearl snaps are optional upgrade here;

I think we changed the description after @indigostiff posted. I am sure @samd will clarify and confirm one way or another....

@indigostiff Thanks for pointing this out, it looks like some rogue info may have found its way into the product details during a recent refresh of the page. As @T4920 has mentioned, this model has always featured plain snaps (as shown in the product images), so I can confirm that yours are indeed correct. All info is now back up to date, hope that helps clear up any confusion!
