Cool Seattle helmet

@Dmart it's fast as hell. I love it. Can't see myself switching anytime soon. Only thing it doesn't complete dominate at is long climbs of 4-5K+ but it's really rare we race with anything over maybe 2-3K so the added weight of an aero bike is a non-issue. And I'm not pro anyway so bike weight isn't top priority as much as shedding a few extra lbs and adding some watts.
@Nik thanks! Our team worked with a local artist and had Birdworx wrap some helmets for us. They turned out really good.

Just added this 2022 Marin Pine Mountain 2 to my rides. Here it’s is also with my 2009 Salsa Casseroll.

Been putting miles in mostly on the road bike. I have discovered that I suck at mountain biking and that also the single track near me is mostly too advanced to learn on. Looking for some gravel type trails to take out the mtb. I did a nice one in NJ: the Columbia rail trail. Don’t really need a mtb for it but it’s a cushy ride. Here’s a shot from yesterdays ride on the Empire State Trail.

Anyone wanna be Strava friends?
-
@setandsetting - a Strava group exists already, although I think it was set up some time ago.

I haven’t been out much lately myself due to a knee issue. 🫤

Just an OCD for steel bikes. I’ve been downsizing from 20ish to about 12 now.

@Denimhead-0 that is a nice collection of bikes. I have to agree there is something nice about hand made steel frames, lugged or fillet brazed.
I have a new incoming frame, hopefully has cleared customs this week and ready to be built when I get home from work in a weeks time. I am a sucker for Nicolai bikes, have had quite a few of them over the years including the Rohloff speedhub based Nucleon frames. When Nicolai announced the new Nucleon 16 I knew I was in trouble. I have owned every Nucleon frame to date.
The new Nucleon 16 is the first production bike to use the Lal Supre Drive system. Looking forward to seeing how this works. I needed to buy two chains due to the longer chain length required for the system.
The rear triangle is black anodized and front triangle is "Arctic Green" which is a colour shifting green / purple powdercoat finish.

That bike is going to be sick. Can’t wait to see the finished build. Here is a pick of my custom Retrotec Single speed, really fun on the single track.

@Denimhead-0 Is the Retrotec a tribute to the old Corratec design?
Did you see that Merlin Metalworks are releasing a modern Newsboy bike?

Classic / retro bikes especially mountain bikes is another rabbit hole. I always wanted a Manitou, Trimble or Funk frame. I do have an original Clockwork Orange mountain bike complete with quill stem and aluminum rigid forks.

Also very lucky to have picked up a Jones welded Jones before the manufacture went to Asia.
-
They can't all be new--- some oldies out there in the wild
-
@Dmart Don't know a thing about bikes, but that looks awesome.
-
@JunkPants Thanks! It’s a Triathlon / Time Trial bike. Quite a limited use case, but fast as hell.
-
@Dmart Very cool. Even just sitting there it does look fast as hell!
