Where does everyone live?

Good to have you here! 888 cut will be the place to start, the 1955 and 634 are other options depending on your waist/thigh ratio. There are some lufters who can get into 777’s too. Of course, personal taste plays a role.
While I understand the desire to try in person, IH (and the forum), have a lot of competence in finding the right fit for folks. In addition next day delivery and free returns in the UK make life easier.
Cheers neph. I was thinking the 888s are the way to go over the 777s as I prefer a higher rise. Size charts for the 888s look comparable to a pair that fit me ok already. Problem I find is that if I accommodate the thighs then the waist will be too baggy, but if I get something that fits the waist (or will give to fit the waist) then the thighs never quite get to comfortable.
But I’m in no rush. Got a couple of pairs of raw denim on the go with plenty of evo left in them. It was trying to make sense of my wardrobe by reducing to fewer, better pieces that started me down the rabbit hole that led here in the first place. After coveting Iron Heart stuff for this long - I’ve been lurking here and eyeing up the website for a good year or so - I can wait a bit longer! (Having said that the shirt is so great that I am now understanding what I’ve been missing!)

@EdH:
I will need to try them on in person though as I powerlift so I need a roomy top block and thighs to accommodate my oversized butt.
Depending on your sizing you may be in a tough spot. I can't fit into any of the normal runs of 634 or 888 anymore with a 35" waist and 26-27' thighs due to my my 43" hip/butt. I would recommend simply measuring your best fitting pair according to IH measurements and talk to the team via customer live chat. When I was going through several attempts, Graham was pulling stock and measuring everything, just ask and remember to do the measurements on the top blocks as that is where you will most likely end up having some issues as a lifter.
If you find nothing works - i have a couple brands in mind you can try too.

Hello all! Checking in from Toronto, Canada. Never been a member of a forum before, but I just grabbed the m-51 jacket and had such an amazing experience with Ross emailing just to make sure sizing and everything worked for me, I had to mention it. Looking forward to getting the jacket.
I’ve enjoyed the UHF shirts, westerns, works and cpos for quite a while, but I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I only grabbed my first pair of denim jeans in 2020. I was listening to the iron cast today (Congratulations to all!) and it reminded me of my experience. I was in the market for some black jeans for work(kitchen work) and I typically order online. A store in Toronto carries Iron Heart so I figured instead of another PBJ I’ll grab a pair. Went and took a look in person and the hand feel of the jeans had me going crazy, I’m usually a slub guy, also I love 20+ in weight. I had a pair of 777 14 oz -od in my hand, wow, this 14 oz jean feels like other brands 18-20, Giles was right sometimes you just have to feel the product.
Well that’s my long winded introduction, also as a Canadian I have the authority to say that Iron Heart’s black and red Buffalo check UHF is the best version of the best shirt ever made. Thanks guys and gals and looking forward to my next pair! Cheers!

We love long-winded intros around here. Please ignore my question on the newbie thread, you answered it beautifully here.

@dex I would just check the measurements and go with what's on the chart (this is always the route to go, as the sizing differs a lot from jean to jean).
That said, you might end up finding that the ODs run a little smaller, as the overdying process can cause a bit of shrinkage. However, the OD 21oz denim is very comfortable and does stretch out a bit. I'd wait for advice of some other folks (like @neph93 especially, as he always has the best input), but my suggestion would be to pick the size that best matches the (pre-stretch) measurements of your current 888s.
Oh and also, welcome to the forum!

That was fast Thanks
My first IH 888 was in 38 size and was ok. bit baggy but ok. now I wear them as winter variant
Second one (arrived few days ago) w36 - very hard to button at start but now they are very close to w38 very comfortable and fit is great. So I really hope that you all would say - go for same size -
@dex:
Hi all, greetings from Konstanz - Germany.
…
Now, question about sizing should I go for same size or I need to size up?Welcome!
Regarding the OD 21oz. The overdying removes all shrinkage meaning OD iterations generally come up smaller. However, the OD 21oz retains all the stretching properties of the standard variant, only accentuated by the kicking the fabric takes from the OD process.
TL/DR: go with the same size. They stretch a lot.

@dex:
Thanks
Now, one more question
About IH555S 21 fitting, same size? Size up, size down?That is a little more difficult to answer. Very different cut so will fit you differently to your 888’s. It is also very body type dependent, with the slimmest knee of all IH cuts and a sharp thigh to knee taper.

Arrived today. There is only one word to describe this great pair of jeans - perfect!
I like it more than 888. That's why I ordered one pair more -
