I was also hoping for slow faders but they are the fastest I've ever owned. And I also went up one size - should be perfect in the long run.

any of you folks own or have fondled a Samurai oxford/button down office shirt? if so, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. i'm specifically concerned with quality (fabric feel, buttons, how its stitched up) & sizing (easy enough if I can find a size chart I trust :'() .
thanks in advance for any help.
the mad one

thanks @FOXY I tried BIG & it looks like they don't have them anymore. If not too much trouble, could you advise on what your Sammie shirts measure & if they shrink? I think I might just jump on one in XL and be done with it.
After I grab this I'll be grabbing at least one UES oxford.
Oxfords are my current thing

Most of my Samurai button-down shirts are in Berlin, not here in Moscow.
The only shirt made with the same pattern that I have with me is this one made from a persimmon Oxford…
Lots of selvage details around the cuffs…
3 button collar…
As you can see this shirt is from their 2013 collection and a size XL…
I took some measurements…
Like most of the Japanese shirts I own (RJB for example), the Samurai button-downs are on the small and slim side. The tricky part for me being the measurements of the waist line…
This particular shirt is in size XL, while my 2 white ones are in size L (IIRC) - this is probably due to the fact, that these shirts are made from raw fabrics (which shrinks individually) and pattern adjustments resulting in model specific measurements.
I would guess, that a size XL in the white shirts would be wider than this particular shirt.
Their work-shirts are more generous in the measurements and straight in the waist. Here is the link to a gallery of some of my Samurai shirts...
