Waited too long and my size are now sold out in the chinos
Think they come back in June so will try them then

20th anniversary goodness. The tonal stitching and super dark denim is pretty badass. Pre-soak fit is what I expected. Post soak Will be coming.
Killer pocket bags

Nice fit! I think it's crazy how black they appear on all pictures.

My size 35 arrived yesterday and I'm quite happy. They are darker than I thought, so.

I will be sure to let you know as soon as it arrives.

@Seul haven't forgotten about the bag. It arrived at my house but I won't be home for at least another week.
Also my 25oz anniversary jeans were shipped a couple days ago. I can't wait to get those.

I got home earlier than expected. I was delighted by the bag. It's pretty great. I'd rate it 9 out of 10. But, it's certainly not ultra heavy or Iron Heart.
I was very pleased with the size. I think it has more cubic inches than my current Timbuk2 bag. Which is impressive because that bag is massive.
The zippers are nice and beefy and oversized which I love.
The denim is awesome as fuck and has this rough texture on the back. It feels like brand new thermal underwear because of the raised threads. Plenty of character. It feels about the same weight as cone mills or similar. But the texture on the back adds about 1/3 more depth and weight.
The selvedge detail.
The leather is on the thin side. But feels about the same as something you'd get on a leather jacket. It is very soft and pliable. Buttery soft as they say.
It's interesting that the whole bottom is not leather. I would have made the bottom solid leather.
Also the flannel inside is very loud. I like it though. It has a lot of texture and is not smooth at all.
And I love the vented back. And the straps have lots of padding. They should be quite comfortable.
I feel very fortunate to finally have a Japanese denim bag. I've wanted one for a very long time. It's really nice and very lightweight. It's almost all pros. But a few cons:
-thin leather and not a full leather bottom
-loud flannel interior
-denim is not heavy- I don't see this lasting more than a few years since it is so lightweight. But I plan on thoroughly beating the shit out of it.
Plenty of room for a big laptop.
-
That’s a freakin sweet backpack @Filthy ! What weight is the denim?
-
17 oz, I think.
-
Yeah that is pretty lightweight…interested in seeing how it holds up.
-
Denimio still hasn't shipped my jeans. But the measurements look perfect. Well worth the wait.
-
Thats a really cool backpack. Where did you get it?

I got it from: https://corlection.com/products/samurai-denim-hiking-backpack
But it sold out already. I'm not sure if you can get it elsewhere or on rakuten.

I got my 25oz anniversary jeans today. They are really nice and heavy. They feel about the same weight as the old iron heart ultra heavy raw, possibly could be heavier after a soak. The 25oz XHS denim feels denser and heavier than this does. But I can't say for sure until I finish soaking… when I get a chance I will borrow a micrometer from work and I will measure the thickness of each denim and let you know what one is thicker. I can't weigh them because technically the Samurai would weigh more because the legs are much longer than the iron heart.
What a lovely coin purse. Hehe
Upside down A limited edition tag.
Gold plated buttons and gold selvedge id.
Double stitched arcutates are really cool. The back pockets seem oversized which I like. It makes sitting on a wallet more comfortable.Gonna do 2 scalding hot soaks to try and shrink them. They are pretty loose fitting, except the waist is snug. The leg openings are not too big. But the legs are 38 inches long!
The back pockets are unlined and the belt loops are not sewn into the waist band. Those are the only 2 cons I can find. But the denim weight and fantastic craftsmanship more than makes up for it. Really glad I scored these. I wonder if I will like them enough to divorce my overalls?
