I usually cuff my jeans which breaks it up a bit. I usually pair with 705 or cords. I don't typically wear them with jeans.

I had a pair of the Palladenims and eventually sold them because I didn't like the "all denim from the waist down" look. I love Palladium boots, though. Of the 4 pairs I've owned in the last 5 years, my favorites, and the ones I feel have been the most versatile, are my basic Pampa high boots in khaki.

@davito, million thanks for that. Sunday's post was from 49 weeks back. Deep and honest thanks for digging back that far and pulling out for me. Amazing you remembered it too.
@Chris/Summer, I kinda agree it'll likely be too much denim, especially considering I wear IHC-10+33+(634|Hawaii) already. The MF's saved my brain from thinking about other models, looks like I'll be looking into it - thanks Chris.

First and foremost, please pardon my poor english.
Finally I got one of my grail thanks to shane who willingly helped me(time and effort) without any condition or questions asked. Truly a good guy and a class act. Salute!!!!
It is a unique jacket which makes me want to have one besides an enquiring mind that wanted to know how good it really is in person, seeing a lot of praises given. Not to forget our MF man, the cool Davito who rocks this jacket so elegantly.
Now to a short review which I promised Davito. It is a size 42 which I think a 40 would fit me better. 1st impression, it is a very-very well made jacket and you can see and notice that every details are there for a reason and was thought carefully so that they execute their purpose effortlessly. For example, the Horsehide leather side and cuff cinch straps is not only for cosmetics reason but to my opinion was a very cleaver choice given how it needs a beautiful and strong material to handle the heavy wool blanket. Adjusting the straps requires less effort and it works like a charm. Even unstrapping my leather watch strap is not that smooth.. ::) The choice of using the vintage NOS French metal slide buckles is also spot on. At 1st i thought it was a roller buckle because of how smooth the strap can be slipped in and out. Fantastic. Christophe and Sugar Cane definitely had done countless hours of brain storming when designing and picking what materials to be used.
The wool is definitely not heavy. Not as heavy as my amazing Iron Heart melton wool pea coat. But is surely is warm. The feeling and presence when putting it on is unavoidable. You just know that you are wearing something special and unique. Even the feeling when getting my 1st leather jacket is not that good. Although it might be because the sleeves length is a bit on the long side.
Christophe chose MFSC 100% cotton plaid, woven turquoise/white/red yarns as lining and personally I like it as it balances the heavy wool and makes it softer to the feel when you put it on. Its like the ´ying and yang´which balances and compliments both outer and inner of the jacket. Again, a very-very smart and well thought off. While the leather pocket trimming and leather detachable chin-strap, using a horsehide just to show off the entire design and lift it to its own standard among many other jacket offerings out there.
All in all I love my jacket. Finally, you need to wear this jacket with confidence or else it will swallow you alive.

Looking good Friday, I think the sizing is right for you. Shane is a good fellow indeed. I was late to the game and you got the last 42.
