Snowy, Ben, Chiba thx very much. Ben i think that Men of frontiers, esp fall/winter was christophe's best so far (check out the fabrics and his descriptions) but do not forget the older Naval and Rider as well as les apaches themes too. They are really great and i hope to get my hands on some gems of those in future as well.
Yeah Chiba fully recommended, went tts, mine are not yet soaked/washed. Very comfy and warm. Highlight is HBT fabric and selvedge outer leg seam

Thanks man, it's an awesome, unique piece from Christophe. So I've been planning on letting go my size 40 deck jacket because I thought it was too big but I thought I'd get some feedback first. This is just over a dry bones flannel.
You guys think a 38 would be better?
-
Ben could you please show us a full front pic with hands out of pockets and one from the backside?
You are usually a medium in tops, right? A 38 would probably give you an overall better fit on your shoulders as they seem running tts. But depends on you if you like it mate of course, its a pretty jacket unfortunately i do not have that beauty.
Here a sufu link of a sz38 with a fit pic of (i believe it is him) Josh from se (think he is usually a medium too)

I think it looks mint… Doesn't look like you are swimming in it and with just a flannel it leaves you room
For another layer if you want. I dunno where you live... Looks pretty pleasant outside from your picture so maybe you wouldn't need any more layers but I think it looks pretty fine....... -
Thanks for the help guys. I might post up some more pictures later, but for now I think I'm just going to be on the hunt for a 38…

itsbenhere - I had the same issue with my deck jacket. It looks like it fits you fine, but the way they used to wear them in the USN was on the short side, more fitted. Mine was an inch or two too long and not fitted enough around the bottom. A lot of the old photos don;t even have the navy guys layering up, the jacket is just over a white tee or shirt.
Problem for me was that the size down for me (42 to 40) didn't work but I'm sure there isnt a too big a gap between 38 and 40.

Thanks big truck, that's exactly what I was thinking too. I know it's not enormous or anything but I do feel a 38 would leave less extra fabric around and provide a better fit, so I'm still gonna try and trade with someone or sell it and hunt for a 38…
