Introduce Yourself Here
-
On a study break, just wanted to drop in and say hello. I love IH goods, and the winter flannels (IHSH-20) I have in red & blue are easily my favorite shirts to wear when it's getting cold out… If only I could find it in gray too lol. But I'm contemplating buying myself my first pair of IH denim (probably going with the 634s) when I get the cash in hand for it. Ohio winters are a lot worse than one would expect, and I could definitely do with some solid 21 oz. denim in my lineup.
Well, back to studying I go. Thanks for having me!

i would also suggest a look into the TW flannel lined jeans
but welcome aboard! -
hey everyone,
thanks to my old friend riffblaster general i have found my way to this site.
when he showed me iron heart a couple of months ago i laughed it off saying something like "yeah right i would never spend that much on a pair of jeans".
well i guess i stand corrected after my visit to self edge in SF two weeks ago.
i put on a pair of 301's and immediately knew i was hooked.
all in all i went to the store two times during my stay and bought a pair of 301`s and two IH flanels much to the dismay of my credit card.
i have never worn anything more comfortable and smart looking.
thanks riffblaster general and hello to everyone here! -

Welcome maxkaplan! Glad you decided that this was the place to be!

Where do I go about getting some info on what's best for me?
Well, you are in the right place, now start looking around in the "Products" Sub Forum: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=6.0 and look through the individual threads and different peoples descriptions and fit pics. You can also always go to the IH UK Site: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/ for all availability, more photos, and prices. Cheers and Welcome!

Hi everyone,
I found the website after doing some general searches on denim after reading William Gibson's latest book, Zero History, which has an interesting 'secret brand' theme around denim. Looks like there's a few Aero Leather fans on here as well which is great, I practically live in my HH Barnstormer this time of year onwards. I'm a big chap, so I don't know if the jackets here will fit or not (my 48" Aero Highwayman is snug but my Barnstormer in the same size is fine, and I wear a 48" suit jacket) but it looks like there are plenty of posts here to help!
Thanks in advance!

welcome michael!
I'm going to need to get my hands on a copy of the WG book ASAP. Didn't know about the denim history angle, but it sounds legit and very interesting. A convo about Pattern Recognition was one of my first few around here, so feel at home!
Good to have ya.Oh, and get at Giles if you wanted the IH/Aero special treatment.

Thanks for the welcome! I had dinner with Gibson last week through work and he's a really nice guy. I don't want to spoil anything in the new book, but read Spook Country first if you haven't already, all three of the Bigend (starting with Pattern Recognition) books are linked.
Having said that, he's now responsible for my current denim quest, so he's got a lot to answer for!
