IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)
-
This will be interesting. I picked up a tagged size 30, which according to the chart measures 32 inches at the waist. As long as I can stretch it out to 33 I'll be good to go. Have you guys gotten at least an inch in stretch out of these?
I have chicken legs so I don't even have to worry about thigh measurements.
-
waist should stretch 1" easy. hopefully you have chicken legs all the way down. from knee down can get dicey (for me) on this cut.
My thighs are actually proportionate to my body. It's PRECISELY from knee down that I look like a doofus. It's like a genetic mishap or something, I has cigarette sticks for shins! (In other words, I'll be fine with the knee-down taper as long as I can button the jean).

you won't regret that purchase…well
a week after solid wearif sized right you wontsounds better!
I was referring to the back of my knees… looked like I had been wearing sandpaper... sbg denim is no joke at first
Is it a lot stiffer than the regular 21 oz denim? Does it still soften up the same?
-
They are stiff, but soften up a lot. I haven't worn them enough to compare with the regular 21 oz denim though, but think they are the same.

Yes they definitely soften up and quickly achieve the same hand the flagship denim is known for, the stacks take a while to break in which really isn't an issue, the jeans are amazing, they've become my favorite pair, just not as versatile as 555-01's so they don't get as much wear as I would like, especially with me being in LA and the weather getting warmer

^evo pics please!

So I had to exchange the 30 for a 31. I could get them on but there was no chance of me buttoning them up, which was weird since the waist measurement was definitely accurate and normally what I take. I assume it has to do with the cut of the seat and the overall narrowness of the 555 fit. In any case, I'm still sized down one from my normal tag size at 31. I should see them on Monday and shall post fit pics before moving abroad next week. Watch out for updates of IH's worn in exciting and exotic places…

I have a pair of these and went for 32 - whereas I'm a 34 in the Busters and a 33 in 666.
The waist comes up pretty large, though it's all about the thighs in this cut imo. I dimly remember G saying that the waist measurements had all come up a chunk larger than expected when they did the run.

Yea, that makes sense. I think the nature of the top block requires the waist to measure out as it does. I'm 32 in most Japanese denim, but am 31 in IH 301 and (hopefully) in the 555-03 as well.

I've said it before…. You'll love the triple 5....got married in them yesterday
-
Oh god… My thumbs...
Got the 31s today! They fit brilliant on my twig gams. Fit pics to come, icing me fingers for now...
Cheers to Giles and Paula for all their assistance!!

I wouldn't recommed sizing down on a slimmer fit than you already own. But that's just me.
