and… cleaned!

i had standard brown/yellow laces at first, but i broked them up at work so switched to new ones. creasing/distress on the tongue is still there.
imo red wings are one of the easiest shoes to wear – i thought i would have trouble due to my lack of experience in work wear but they're my go-to workwear shoe.

Hello all,
First time poster. Great forum here!
Could somebody please tell me the differences/similarities between the 1907 and the Classic Lifestyle series. I don't see any differences when I look at the Copper version of both models. Thanks
The 1907 is built on a different last than the 8131 style boots; this is assuming that is the Classic Lifestyle boot you are talking about. I am not sure how that will affect the fit of the boot or anything, but the last that the Classic Lifestyle boots are built on is the same last (and therefore the same fit) as the classic 877 and 875 boots that have been popular for 60 years or so.
Actually, while I'm on this thread has anyone got a good tip for revitalising my Iron Rangers (the rough out ones).
Just a heinous scouring with a wire brush?

Depending on how they look, I would just leave them. Could you post a picture? I love seeing how RW boots evolve. Now if they smell bad or something, I would just try shoe trees or wadded up newspaper to try and thoroughly dry them out.
The 877 are my favorite boot. Have had a pair for a year so, and my foot just sort of grew. So I had my local Red Wing dealer order a pair of 8111 amber colored Iron Rangers and another pair of 877s to replace the too-small ones. Can't wait to wear the soles down in this pair of 877s - then I can finally send them back to the factory to get new soles and have the upper eyelets replaced with speed lacing posts.
I received the two boots last week but returned both for quality reasons. The 877s had some eyelets out of place and the 8111 had a crooked heel counter that would never break in correctly I was afraid. This is one reason I love shopping at Red Wing - the service. I look forward to getting the boots back next week or so. Hope these pairs are all right and work for me. I have had my Red Wing dealer call up the Red Wing factory plenty of time to ask questions about boot models for me.
*** This is my first post on here! Ordered my first real pair of jeans today as I was getting tired of blowing through Levis every few months or so. If I can keep these as basically my only jeans for 2 years or so then I will consider Iron Hearts a money saving investment. Wish I would have gotten on on this train sooner. Red Wing boots and denim are a couple of interests of mine.

Finn - Can you tell me if there are indigo stains on the white thread in the contrast stitching on your Iron Rangers? It looks like the white threads are spared from the indigo bleed but I wanted to know if you could verify. Thanks!
