Watches - another OCD problem

2022 models announced at Omega: https://www.omegawatches.com/omegadays
Going after you-know-who a bit…
-
The high shine dials aimed at Rolex's OP line do nothing for me. Cool to see the Ultra Deep as a production model though.
-
I prefer the titanium version of the Ultra Deep, which has a slightly different case.
I agree that the Aqua Terra range appears to be going after Rolex, but the Ultra Deep is telling the Sea-Dweller Deep Sea to come and have a go if it thinks it's hard enough!
There's also a new version of the Speedmaster '57 with the movement from the Chronoscope. I like the sandwich dial and burgundy variants.
-
That burgundy dial Speedmaster has a nice 70s vibe to it.
-
If green dials are a bit passé for you, might I suggest the Moritz Grossman Central Seconds in purple…
-
Epic af @jtbel1988! I love that one. Such a classic Panerai and I hear it wears well on the wrist.
-
Received my new field watch .
So far it’s working well …in the fields . -
Seiko versus Patek from Horomariobro's Instagram. But I suspect that I'm preaching to the choir here.
-
Omega allegedly unveiled all their new watches last week, only to slip out an announcement for the Omega CK 859 Re-Edition. It's got a 39 mm steel case, silver dial, a hand wound Master Chronometer movement, and is gorgeous.
Monochrome has the details, no-one else seems to have picked up on it yet.
-
Beautiful watch

I adore the old style of both the logo and word mark, @Graeme. I actually happen to like the green Seamaster Diver 300m. And even the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch (especially Mission to Mars). I'm anxiously awaiting the drops from Watches & Wonders which, if recent releases are any indication, will be nutso.
-
@henry_david I'm not sure that mere mortals are going to be able to buy any of the hot releases at Watches and Wonders next week…
Omega have released a good batch of models, even if they're accused (unfairly) of copying Rolex.
Then again, what are Rolex likely to unveil? The Milgauss is due for a replacement and a few new dial colours for the Datejust and Oyster Perpetual. The most interesting thing would be a production version of Ben Ainslie's titanium Yacht-Master.
-
Oh I wasn't intimating that any would be available for purchase next week. I, too, am interested in what's ahead for Rolex even if the rest of the watch-loving Internet is as well. I'm kinda interested in seeing any new dial variants for the DJ (as boring as that may be) and also wouldn't mind a titanium YM to be brought into production.
-
What is this Omega Swatch madness going on? I'm hearing crazy stories of this limited edition Omega x Swatch watches selling for as high as 3K $. Insane!
-
And it's not an LE or anything, @the246guy. It'll be available online in a matter of weeks and is a regular production watch. I'll def be buying one once the hype's died down a bit.
