Rogue Territory
-
@jerkules yeh I'd love to see it! I have a love/hate relationship with this jacket. So many people have told me how well it fits, and how sharp it looks on me, but I find it very impractical to wear due to the restrictive shoulder measurements...
I even bought one in a size up hoping it'd fit me better, but it ended up fitting more like an overcoat so I got rid!
I'll keep hold of this one though, I really love the design of it.

@T4920 bout as good as it got, few washes brought out the greys if I remember correctly.
Totally with you about the shoulders - everything I’ve ever had from RGT run really small in that dimensions and it just felt uncomfortable. Same as you, that’s with sizing up - all other dimensions were pretty good. Definitely results in a sharp look, but I’m just not into it at the expense of comfort anymore. I’ve also noticed that quite a lot of their fabrics shrink in unexpected ways. Nowhere on their website does is say that their ISC workshirt shrinks, but mine shrank almost a full size on a cold wash with minimal spin. This is an area I never have to worry about with IH. I love that there’s a resource for asking questions about shrinkage, stretch, fading etc.

Rogue Territory Indigo Selvedge Canvas shirt
Well I was going to ask if anyone had examples of this shirt but the XXL I was about to pull the trigger on has gone from Rivet and Hide. But any examples would be amazing.

Here’s mine. I enjoy rogue territory but their items shrink so much for me. Even with just a soak and air dry. Their pants usually become unwearable because of the shrinkage. I wish I had washed this shirt prior to putting in wear. The fades have kind of moved due to shrink
-
@marco23d How much did it shrink? Even with a cold wash/soak?
-
@joephoto I didn’t take measurements but I’d say a solid size. I always do cold soaks. Usually a wash after but this one I just did a soak and hung to dry outside. Sometimes I think maybe I’m doing something wrong but I don’t experience this with any other brand.
-
Agree with @marco23d . Mine shrank considerably. Pit to pit went from 23 to 21.5, back length from 29.5 to 28. I washed cold with minimal spin. Maybe I’m spoiled with a wealth of knowledge with IH and the forum, but I don’t think it’s too much for a manufacturer to inform customers of this, especially for a £265 shirt. Their website now states 0.5 inch shrinkage (it definitely didn’t at the time a couple of years ago).
My shirt ended on eBay and I got maybe £120 from it, so considerable loss there. Shame as I loved the fabric, fit (pre wash), and the construction was solid.
-
@jerkules that is quite some shrinkage. That makes sizing difficult because I could size up more and then get hardly any shrinkage and I’m left with a shirt that’s too roomy. Or I have a cold shower whilst wearing the shirt and pray for the best. Thanks

@xzther8 Ill chime in (stuck on an awful conference call and happen to be wearing mine tdy) It’s been stated a thousand times before and bears repeating a thousand times more, start with the measurement charts over tag size. But yep, I think going with a large for it to fit more like a medium would be the way to go. Start with a cold soak and if you need it to tighten up more, warm soak it. For reference, mine started out a little baggy and now fits great post soak.

All solid, time proven suggestions @flannel-slut

@flannel-slut thanks man! Looks great on you, going to go with the large then.

Bought a Supply Jacket in Black Denim today. Really like the clean asthetic of that cut. Not for the traditionalists but I personally prefer it over the classic I-III type cuts.
