John Lofgren (Speedway)

@Daniel-San I did! Pre-ordered back around Spring and your recent picks are only confirming these are SPECIAL. PS I personally like the length of em
-
@FlavourFade this leather is a bit stiffer out of the box. It’s a veg tan so stiffer and not as oily as the CXL. I actually thought I might need to size up when I first tried them on. But after about 30 minutes of wear the leather broke a lot of its stiffness. Really excited to see how this leather evos!

@flannel-slut
that’s awesome cool that I‘am not the only one that has them.
Any idea when you get them ?
where did you order ?new laces just arrived
looking awesome little shiny
-
@Mizmazzle
I had the Lofgren engineers in both leather , the badalassi and cxl and the badalassi where much softer and immediately comfortable .
and the shinki are the toughest, they really needed a break in.
sold them to the heavy b motherf….who still owes me money / cpo shirt -
@Daniel-San oh interesting. For me it was the opposite. My CXL leather was softer and the volume of the boot was larger. I had to put an insert in them to take up some space because they were so floppy.
My Badalassi in the same size were stiffer. But only for a short time. But they have way less volume and zero slip at all. They fit perfectly after walking in them for about 30 minutes.
That sucks so bad about the being owed money BS.

@Daniel-San ordered them from Standard and Strange and eta this Spring. These are the laces I’m mulling over in my cart:
-
And are the new laces you got 68”? And assuming the purples are 72”? If so, gonna need another laces pick of the new ones 🫵
-
@flannel-slut
the new ones from Pisgah are 63“. They were recommended for Red Wing Irish Setter , so they should work. Will try them next days , and keep you updated!
Hope yours arrive soon ! Was pretty surprised that our retailer here in Germany get them first , seems the first worldwide.
cool for me -
@Daniel-San last damn laces question (I promise mods)… to confirm, your purple laces are 72”?
I need to sell my burgundy DPs so the delay is welcomed on my end and definitely appreciate you paving the way with all the sweet lace intel (I will point out this is a comment on laces, not a question). My only gripe with my burgundy DPs was the laces provided were about 4”s too short IMOP, hence the smallish obsession -
@flannel-slut
the purple ones are 180cm which should be 71“ . -
@Daniel-San arrived a little earlier than anticipated! Pictures do not do these justice but here are some shots of mine
-
And in natural lighting
-
@flannel-slut those look amazing man. Always wanted some donkey punchers and those are fantastic.
-
@ZackB thanks man! The leather on these is something else but the DP is outstanding regardless/extremely comfortable w extra room in the toe box.
-
I bought my Donkey Punchers half a size too large (online), and despite wide feet in front have a bit too much wiggle room. I fixed this partly with extra in-soles, but I still have with every step a fold on top of the boot push into my big toe somewhere. @flannel-slut real beauty you have there!!
-
@Tobi thanks Tobi!
-
@flannel-slut did you go down a half from Brannock? I had been looking at the burgundy DPs but these look so good. Congrats man and keep us updated on how they break in.
-
@ZackB honestly bud, you’re better off reading the Standard and Strange description. I did and landed on the perfect fit. They do a good job breaking down the last and it’s bannock equivalent
-
@flannel-slut
welcome to the club
they are absolutely stunning!!
and they get even more comfortable with a little wear . Wear mine at work on 8-9 hour shifts and it’s always a pleasure! -
@Daniel-San now time for some laces
