Yep, had the chance today to visit a local shoe store nearby and got these on my IR's.
The shoe is pretty snug now, hope it will loosen a bit after few days, but they are much more comfortable now for my left leg. I will put it to test tomorrow when I walk!

After some wear they usually compress enough to be more comfortable than snug.
Hoping they improve your comfort while walking–-If it is still snug after some time, you can always try smaller sizes. enjoyNice bit of GAH there btw.

I like Dr Scholls Ultracool insoles when it comes to insoles I have tried many. I don't think these are gell but gell doesn't let your feet breathe very well either. These have air holes all through them for air to circulate and help keep feet cool.
These are the best I have found. Very comfortable.

So I was able to con Giles into letting go of a pair of Packers for a song (an early prototype of the IHWE-Build 2 I presume) in Brown Domain over double mids, Brown outsole stitching and 705s.
The leather seemed a little thirsty so I did a little cleaning and dry brushing and got them looking pretty good:
But I wanted to quench their thirst and give them a little shine…
So boot cleaner, mink oil, dry brush and shine cloth later...

Thanks!!
I also dressed the edges, let them soak in the sun a bit to open the grain and then brushed them in pretty well.
I still have not put them on my feet - hope they fit haha [emoji23]

Getting em lined up for a mid Winter clean and polish.
RW, RW, Sendra, Mezcalero.
Hard to find boots for us gents with petite feet. I'll eventually get some custom Wescos when I make it back home to the PNW next time, but who knows when that will be. -
Loving the two pairs on the right @thebeardoweirdo what is the name of that style?

I guess you would call them something like a Western Chelsea and a Biker Chelsea. I honestly have no idea what the proper name is, I just call em my Rock and Roll boots.

X-post from the Smokejumper thread:
I’m ashamed that this thread has not been populated for over two years. These boots are amazing.
Regular wear for over five years, from nearly new. Mountain hikes, winter sports, dog walks, everyday wear, work boots. They’ve seen it all and they’ve even coped with the competition from my beloved Wesco Boss iterations too.
When spring comes they’ll be getting a brush and clean, new laces and kilties but they really look amazing considering the abuse they have received.

That's one badass pair of boots @neph93. They look indestructible! Well worn roughout leather has so much character.
-
@Palmer they really feel that way. I wear them with conficence whatever I am doing with them. Even after many years with minimal maintenance. Unfortunately I am unsure if this is still the case with Viberg. I saw a pair of their engineers in the flesh a few years ago and they felt… less impressive.
@andyone beautiful, lines, leather and finishing. I am unfamiliar with these brands, and while they are not the kind of clod-hopping shit-kickers I personally prefer, I look forward to checking them out.

To get some ideas what those brands offer, here's their IG pages

https://www.instagram.com/flamepanda11/Flame Panda is only on IG, he doesn't have a homepage. It's kind of strange for me to order and communicate just via IG, but it worked well. For more information about Flame Panda, you can read an article here:

Not unusual for S. E. Asian brands, especially small outfits or one man brands. The stats for mobile phone vs. computer based internet access in that part of the world are astonishing seen from a western viewpoint. It means social media platforms are much easier (and less expensive) as a means if doing business.
I get the feeling these businesses live and die on their reputations so if the product is good and the seem established you are pretty safe.
Thanks for the links.

@neph93 … I love love love the 'shit-kickers'... They are the business and look indestructible!!
Agreed about Viberg... I have a couple of pairs of Engineers and the older brown versions look a lot
more robust and seem to have a different level of finish than my newer black boots? -
@Baba-san this is why Wesco is my boot of choice now. The great thing about them is that they can make boots with a much more refined look now, while still being hard as nails and able to hop clods and kick shit [emoji1]
I have a new pair on order with G-san that definitely fall into the shit-kicker category…

Waiting for these to arrive next week.
