Fair enough.
Have you seen the AMG GLC63S? That looks like a completely bonkers practical car. I was admiring one in a dealership in Brisbane.
why not just the GLE. the GLC is a tad small.. similar to an x3 rather than an x5..
i think that if those "light trucks" were sold and made here in AU and in RHD without the need for conversion. they'd sell like hotcakes. the conventional SUV was made as a people carrier rather than a hauler. consider this, a 3 row SUV would not have enough space for everyone's luggage but a suburban or escalade would..
i recently came across a 1998 suburban in Perth on QLD plates. not sure if they were road tripping. but i admire them for the amount of space with or without the third row.. a used 2011 escalade would cost somewhere about AUD$100,000 for about 94,000kms on the clock..

The new Morgan Plus Six looks pretty good. It's an aluminium chassis with a BMW straight six in it.
@Chap are you getting one?

I don't mean to interrupt this fine bit of thread about Morgans. But I thought you fellas might like to see my 1972 Rover Defender III. I'm the third owner. The original shipped the truck from Britain to the France, was driven to the boot of Italy, and then driven from Morocco to the Cape and back. It was sold to a woman in Pennsylvania who collects old Rovers. I bought it from her. Here's the moneyshot so you can see the names of countries, many of which are now otherwise-named, painted on the side. It was horned by a rhino–-documented---and that blow is on the other side. I drive it a few times each summer just to scare the neighbors and my wife.

A while back, roughly a year into my apprenticeship, and a year following my divorce, I needed a more reliable and economical vehicle. I like hatches. So, I settled on a base model Veloster. Although, it was quite, shall we say, under-powered, it had a 6-speed manual and was pretty fun to drive. It grew on me. Recently, after years of trying to get more out of her than she was able to give, that 6-speed gave out. The repairs were going to cost nearly the value of the car. I wasn't having any of that. So, it was time for another, with a bit more power, this time. In my heart, I sooooo wanted the Veloster N. But, with a daughter reaching her teen years, and the need for a daily commuter, I felt something a little more practical was in order. I went with the fully loaded Turbo Ultimate. All the creature comforts, and a 7-speed DCT automatic(with paddles). Not quite the hot hatch the N is, but fun nonetheless. My new whip…..

This is a hard choice for me. The Zed 06 is paid for the leased S4 is 640.00 a month. I give it back in July…..one less decision in morning after that .

You will love it @Giles !!

OK. Made my decision. in part massively influenced by the fact that it is being end-of-lifed, so BMW are offering dealers massive incentives, so leasing one is super cheap. It's also as fast as a stock 911 to 0-60mph….
this i like… 3 or 5 door? please tell me you've got the f20 version that is the 6 and RWD.... actually this might be a keeper since it is the last of the RWD variants too

^can't go wrong with that combo. will not be as quick as the e63amg but this is much more engaging!
