Our Cars (dream or actual)
-
Took the Land Cruiser for a night of camping in Mt Hood. This car never fails to amaze me with its capabilities
-
@derek111 when you get your new whip please share! I’m curious what your next project will be considering how rad you last build looks
-
@Inorganic will do! I am loving that Land Cruiser of yours, what a beauty.
-
@derek111 ohhhhh shit!!!!! Congrats
-
@Inorganic 80 series the greatest car ever made (IMO)
Used to own one when I lived in Aus back in 2016/17, still miss that beast
-
-
@Inorganic yeah that’s a dream ride for sure!!
-
@hjl360 oh yes! great looking rig
-
@Mizmazzle rides like a dream coming from the taco, but that thing was a tank and about as slow as one. So it's nice change of pace for sure, although, I will always miss that thing.

Now on the return leg of my bike ride, last week or so. Ran into a group of europeans touring Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru on classic cars. Real beauties all of them. The list was: Auburn, Bentley (2), Rolls Royce, Triumph, Corvette, MG, Citroen, Jaguar, Mercedes.

I had a blast chasing them down, taking pics and vids of them. I’m on the same route. Wonderful to see these museum beauties on real roads/trips through beautiful areas.
-
The Auburn is a real eye opener. 1928, 7000 cc! Have a vid of it idling but was unabke to post here. It was having trounle overheating on the climbs.

Great to see these cars actually being put to the use they were intended for.
Here's a little more on the rally they are in: https://via-flaminia.com/oldtimer-car-rally/2024-peaks-of-the-andes/ -
