Dehen

@pechelman Top of the pile! And who knows what @Alex might feel like doing now that he's at the helm. It certainly never hurts to ask, and the worst anyone can say is "no." Also, one of the best things about IH is that they listen to their customers. We don't get everything we want, but we get more than I've gotten from any other brand.

Dehen Sashiko bomber incoming for F/W from the looks of it…

@Mizmazzle Textured fabrics in general are having a moment right now. It makes sense that we're seeing so much sashiko with our favorite brands.

It finally came. Thanks to all for the sizing feedback. I’m really glad that I went for medium. There can be debate regarding the overall length (I actually wanted it to be longer compared to the images on their website) and the shoulders could be more trim for my liking, but on the other hand the sleeves are very much IH style and fit quite snug. I will be able to use it with Henley or thermal and UHF and I’m sure that would be impossible if I went for small.
Yo dawg, I am thinking about purchasing this same sweater as you have pictured in your original post. I was also thinking about going with my usual UHF size as you did so I can layer and also wear it as an oversized piece. I prefer my cardigans to be loose and do not like a fitted look for me. All eight of my UHFs are XXL but I see the measurements for the XXL sweater on the Dehen size chart to be 50" shoulders which seems maybe too big (even for oversized). It is also their largest size so I'm not sure if this would actually be too big. @Mizmazzle maybe you can chime in. I'm thinking maybe I should just go with the XL which has 47" shoulders. Length at 29.5 would be about halfway past my pants back pockets I would guess which seems right.
Karol I see that you wear medium with your UHFs and chose the same with your sweater. I like how yours looks, like a nice cozy fit. Any advise would be super rad my dudes...thank you in advance.

@Oaktavia I have two things to add:
-
I'm M in IH UHF Workshirt. For western I have to ether go for L (works with OD stuff) or pass because L is to large.
-
The Dehen 1920 size chart is for the body measurements, not garment dimensions as we have with IH. It took me way to long to realize this
I cant wait to see You rocking this cardigan!! All the pairings with the awesome stuff that You have is going to be epic!

@Oaktavia i have the classic cardigan in a size medium. I’m a solid size large in every IH shirt. @Karol brings up a great observation that Dehen goes by your physical body dimensions for sizing vs. IH using the size of the garment.
With the classic cardigan, I love the fit of the sweater but do wish it was a tad longer. I tried a size up, but the shoulder was too wide and looked boxy and sloppy to me.
Also, Dehen has a solid exchange/ return policy. If you order two sizes and return one, or need to exchange…they allow that.

Okay dudes once I realized I could get 15% off with a discount code and with that, I pulled the trigger.
Just a dollar short of $60$63.75 off is a lot! I went with XL as I usually wear XXL with IH westerns. Hoping it'll fit like our buddy @Karol 's does. Dude thanks for posting your experience man I originally just had a Classic Cardigan I was eyeing but the 2.0 is clearly nicer IMO and the same price...surprisingly. I love that the elbow pads are waxed cotton. So nice. Hopefully I can layer IH westerns underneath this one this fall/winter with the size I chose. -
@Oaktavia Im not worried a bit. After the little time that I’m on this forum I learned that everyone here makes the clothes so much their own, wearing it in different configurations, pairing it differently, etc.
I can’t wait how You will rock this piece, and the only thing I’m certain is that I will learn something new. -
@Karol well said bud. I think we’re all looking forward to the upcoming dank Dehen treatment
