The 0905sp is a loose fit model. If he wanted a tight fit, it would be better to choose a different model, like the 0805 or the 0705, rather than sizing down. The fit he has is exactly how those jeans are supposed to look.
I love the 0905, personally. I need to get the rip in the knee of mine fixed one of these days so I can start wearing them again.
-
not really. The 0905 / 0901 is intended to be a 1955s cut , so relaxed straight with a high rise, the 634S has a much lower rise, which makes the difference to me. But I wear my jeans much slimmer than you. Still I like the fit, even if mine is different
-
I can barely snap them up now. I like my jeans loose anyways
well that´s what it´s all about baby

Rise on jeans has never really bothered me, I have them both ways and some in between. My issue is usually leg room, specifically the thigh area. Love these so far!

Whoa, really like the color of your belt Max Power, where'd you get a belt with such a nice color?
-
You mean the heavy one? It's a Samurai W001, 6 weeks old. The old belt is an Obbigood 15 oz brazilian leather belt, that has been worn for one year and oiled a few times.

Momo 0905 SP, third wash, this time by machine (thought I'd give her one chance) at 40°, no spinning. Looks like they shrank a fair bit, let's see if I can still fit in.
Close to retirement, as something new might come in this weekend…

Thanks a bunch…been somewhat 8 months, but I need some variety now.
-
great pair Flo! is the denim cracking at the combs?
-
Thx! There are some minor cracks, not at the outer (light) comb lines, but on the inner lines. Hard to describe, but it looks a bit like on the hems, where the cuffs left their mark. you'll see tomorrow.
-
You'll read it tomorrow or on sunday I suppose. Will be a slimmer cut…

@Max:
Yes, that's true.
Vintage Label= 15,7 oz, zimbabwe cotton, unsanforized
Going to war= same denim, but one-wash, painted backpockets, it's also said to have an "anti-leg-twist" treatment, however that works (it works on mine). And the Going to War Series also has a shorter inseam 35" oppopsed to approx. 36,5" of the Vintage label (comes with 39,5" raw).
Ahhh, so the two lines ARE actually made from the same denim? I've been wondering this for some time, trying to decide between the 0701 and 0705SP. So….apart from the 0705SP being one-wash, i guess the decision is really based on whether or not I want the stripes on the back pocket.
Thanks for the info, Max Power.
