Sunday ride into town for the entire family…

Start of my 78 shovelhead project. Definitely going to take a few years for this one.

By popular request… well by @goosehd , Pics of my 78 Yamaha IT175.
Bought it in bits an an eBay project last winter (as we know.. never buy a bike in bits!.. its all there - nothings missing, honest!) Just the wrong forks, front wheel, Carb etc…
I rebuilt engine, new seals/bearings etc. Powder coated frame, zinc/cerakoted various bits. Sourced a new fueltank from the US and managed to get loads of parts from a UK importer of used old bikes from the states.
It runs a treat - nothing low down - then bam, the 34mm mikuni main jet kicks in and the thing flies.
Ive done a little off-roading on it this summer, but have a Husky FE350 for the proper dirty work!

Pleasure Gents… I have more restorations that I've completed.
Let me get some more images together and i'll add them to the thread

Packed up the bike and rode down south last week. Met up with my dad half way. Went from Pittsburgh to oak island at the bottom of North Carolina. Really nice country roads to ride on.

@Punatnik Where did you find that gem? Rebuild and restoration? Love to hear/read the backstory on that bike and love the pictures!
Thank you!
I found this bike couple years ago , when I was doing bathroom remodeling for older lady.
It belonged to her deceased brother and was sitting in her garage for last few years.
All original, unmolested with around 9000 miles on it.
I asked her if she would be ever interested to sell it to let me know.
Next day she said "yes" and at the end I traded it for the work I did for her.
All I did to it was good tune up and rides like new:) -

Beautiful bike you got there @Punatnik !
