@motojobobo As always, an epic adventure with amazing pictures ~ thanks again for sharing!
@psticks Beautiful bike! I had a 2002 FLSTS - Heritage Springer and wish I never sold it. Ride it in good health.

Had to do it- frisco tank. Thanks to the shallow tunnel I get more gas without a bigger tank. The fit of this is much better thank a peanut with a lift. Lowbrow Customs ftw

@WhiskeySandwich Plans for paint? I’ve seen a few where it’s left in the grey, favourite stickers added, and a coat or three of clear over everything…
-
@goosehd I like rocking raw metal for a while while a paint scheme comes to me. In the meantime I just smoothed it out with a flap disc and a wire brush on the drill. To avoid rust I generously wipe it down with wd40 and some chain wax.

Went for a nice ride today with the wife which we haven’t done in a long time. We stopped for a beer and the weather was perfect. Days like today are the best -
had my last track day of the year for 2024.
was on old tires from a previous session in June which I flipped. Sepang is a right heavy circuit so I reused the tyres and flipped it before getting a new one for the afternoon session (in which it rained and never got used 🥲) timings were pretty much consistent across 2:39-2:40 now regardless of whether I was pushing. they had a intro to track riding on the friday morning which some tape markers where still left on the track. those were pretty handy in tiding up lines.. didn't managed to clock a faster time probably due to older tyres. will see when I swap them to the new set next year..
body positioning for a flat bar is still unnatural as hell. sat on someone's Panigale in the pits and when you corner the movement is very natural as one hand rests over the tank and your helmet flows to your other hand for cornering. definitely very different on a sports bike while cornering. as the rain ruined the afternoon session, I didn't had a chance to look over all the lap times on the bike. will do it once I get it back in a few days.

Just home from a four day run around back country NSW.
It's cheaper than therapy.
