IH-1955-UHR - Ultra Heavy Raw 1955 Cut

I would love to see a comparison between the new denim and the old 21/23oz denim. These look brighter than the old ones, might be the lighting or the camera, though.

That would be awesome, thank you!

Amen to that

First wear of my W31 1955 UHRs. Rigid and rough in their raw state as Giles says! I was hoping for rain to moisten them but there was only light drizzle They will go in a cold soapless wash tonight, otherwise I will be very sore (quite apart from abrasion of the constructional stitching)! Its nice that they've got the thicker thread of the 666 25oz.
The shape is very 1955 and the narrower hem should mean that they will not go down over my feet when I'm wearing lightweight shoes as I don't normally cuff.

What's in your holster Jeansman - Colt 45?
Yep! I've got a specially-made umbrella handle lol!

The inseam on the pair which were thoroughly wetted on the washing line and hung to dry now measures 35.75 inches. I didn't measure them before, but I assume they were 36.5 as that is the inseam on the spare pair bought at the same time. I'm assuming that the shrinkage will end up more than 3/4 of an inch, but then I'm used to LVC shrink-to-fit and haven't yet properly washed any Iron Heart.

Thanks Jeansman.
I went down to Gosport today, and measured all the pairs in my size. One turned out to have a 37 1/8" inseam. Sold to the gentleman with the reasonably long legs!
If they shrink by 1.5" to 2" then they'll end up somewhere between 35" and 35.5", so should be fine.
