DC4001 - DC4/Iron Heart 21oz Collab
-
+1. I'd like to see them in raw.
These are my first IH jeans (first of any heavyweght) and I'm just blown away by them - the fit is perfect - I'm slim and they fit beautifully. Was a bit worried that the rise might be slightly too low, but needn't have worried - each time i wear them, they fit better, and the rise seems perfect now, as they've given a bit here and there. They just seem to sit, effortlessly, in a perfect position.
Knocked out by this 21oz denim - soft yet not at all flabby - plenty of stiffness there. And the construction of the jeans is very good. Just love wearing them - each time it's a real treat.
Tried on the DF's in raw, but no experience of this denim when washed. Loved the roughness and slubbiness.

Yo
if you enjoyed the DC's you will love all the rest of the IH denim collection.
My suggestion: get a pair of each.

Great suggestion gb, 'if I was a rich man…' Seriously thinking of a second pair though - which are your faves?

My favorite is the 634 SR, but I think they're not available.
Two scenarios, then:
1. you can wait a few months for your next pair
2. you can't wait for your next pair1. wait for the upcoming 25 oz. it will be a fucking monster. Or wait for the upcoming 634S 23 oz. Monster too!
2. cant wait? Two solutions:2.a: you like basics: get the 634S. Top a top
2.b: slimmer? 666 but then again two possibilities exist:
2.b.1 = non overdyed
2.b.2 = OD'dThat should leave you wondering what the feck to do, and remember the Beatle Busters. Man! choices, choices…

You should wait for the next DC4 collab. Daniel speek about 25oz with more backrise.

Cheers for input guys - have thought about 25oz, but I like to get decent whiskers etc, and wonder how possible that'd be in anything more than the 21oz I'm wearing now, which are beginning to crease and fold beautifully…
Fortunately, I'm used to running one pair at a time into the ground, so maybe just stick with what I've got for a while (which I'm thrilled with).
It's that old 'want' versus 'need' conundrum - if I'm brutal with myself, then I don't need another pair, I just want some ::) and love that 18oz raw...

I would rather buy the 18oz than the 25 oz.

I asked Daniel at DC4 if there was a possibility of producing the DC4001 in the 18oz raw denim - here's his reply
Hello Steve,
this is a good idea !
We will release a new DC4002 jeans …..be surprised !
Perhaps the DC4003 will be how your proposal, we will think about it.
Many thanks for your idea.
Best
Daniel
