the Iron Heart Ducks are head & shoulders above the Roy Ducks in construction & material (imho). The problem some will have is the Roy Ducks are a more contemporary cut while the Iron Heart Ducks are you know real double knee loggers.
just my 2 cents

That goes without saying. It's a more practical pant in terms of work purposes.

Honestly I did, but the pic he posted looked so different from what I saw on SE that I did not think it was the same pants! And I did not read his post carefully. My bad…

Ducks in an indigo sauce? they do look good on you el.
to the duck topic, i got a pair of the ducks cause you know i wanted a pair of ducks (that weren't doubleknee & they don't do anything for me really. i might appreciate them more as the weather warms up a bit. when ever i get around to wearing i'll post a flick.)

Currently sitting in my office in my Black-n-Blues, which I ordered on the day they became available because I loved the SE-Ducks that I had picked up previously. Both of these pants are beautifully made and should age nicely. I would classify them both as light-to-medium weight casual pants as opposed to real heavy work pants. The Ducks are slim fitting, with a low rise and the BNBs are more of a slim straight design with a slightly higher rise. Both show off Roy's incredible sewing skills. The BNBs are probably my favorite non-denim pants, but be aware that they do bleed a lot (more like hemorrhage).

Never????
Never is like forever lando, doesn't seem like that long 'till you get a bit more perspective.
How right you were Monday. I have just snagged the pair of W32 Roy BnB's from RocknRoll. Ready for my second attempt at Roy and his work.

Just read this. Insane news.
"just had a long talk with roy about this next batch of jeans coming out this week. i'm a bit stunned to find out exactly what the denim is… for the first time in over three decades cone mills has produced a run of unsanforized fabric for a brand. this fabric is actually produced for roy to his exact specifications, only 500 yards were made. if you understand the way mills work this should sound like a flat-out lie. it's not. i myself have a hard time digesting the fact that this happened. it's a test to see how it pans out between roy and cone. this is serious history in the making. no hate on the above news, but i have to say how i really feel.
how does this impact the product & the customer? are prices going to escalate further? is the product going to be better? otherwise the denim can come from XXXXX location as long as the product is dope.
as usual i'll be watching & cheering for these dudes, but i'm also a bit apprehensive about what this will really mean to me, the freckin' hard working consumer.
