Jules has a pair of Viberg engineers shown on LHS with chrome hardware that she would love to replace with brass hardware as shown on my IHTB-BOBRN on RHS. Does anyone know where hardware can be replaced on engineer boots? @Giles could IHUK replace hardware on Jules' boots?

My most worn pants are starting to get a hole. I thought I would try a fix at home. I had some NoSo patches left over from a Patagonia nano puff tear. Supposedly these patches also work on cotton. I’ll see what happens, but thought this might slow down the damage. Patched from the inside and then set with a hair dryer on high heat.

I once took very high-quality cotton jeans, I really liked them, I still wear them and cotton pajamas in the form of a cat. I want to know what thread is suitable for sewing these cotton things if they suddenly break. Is a regular thread from the market suitable for these things for daily use? Jeans are usually tight, and pajamas are like this https://www.onesiezoo.com/ , and how to sew them better?. Things are just very high quality and I'm afraid that the child may break accidentally, I would not really like to throw it away and buy it again. So I really ask for advice on what I need to do with them. Thank you for your help, God bless you
I use this thread to make repairs. It is very strong and matches the jeans yellow color very closely.

I am bored to tears so fixed that broken stitch so it won't pull through.

Oh I was thinking he didn't speak English and made his message in his native language then used a machine translation. shrugs

My pair of 666-XHS jeans are starting to develop a hole in the crotch. Should I worry about it or just wear them until it gets worse?
Here are two pictures of what I am seeing:
In November I posted these pictures and asked for advice on what to do. The advice was received and after speaking with @Chesson I sent my jeans in to be fixed.
They just arrived and I am very happy and wanted to share the results with you. Special shout out to Alex Chesson and his magic. Great Job!!

I made some good progress sewing the patch back on with my sewing awl. I am going to have to switch to the yellow kevlar thread so it won't break. I got halfway across the top and the thread broke. There is definitely a learning curve with this tool, and lots of blood.

Make sure to get the newest one that has the thread tensioning device on the side. Mine is older than me, and I got it second hand in the 80s when I was in Scouts.

I just ordered 2 pieces of black 1.3 mm Horween CXL so I can make a "gun pocket" to sew into the lining of my Fine Creek jacket… I have a 10 prong chisel I purchased to perforate new IH leather patches and am gonna use that to make sort of a 1 inch deep 3-dimensional inside pocket.
I have a curved sewing needle so I can sew the pocket onto the liner without having to remove it.
I want to make sort of a box shaped pocket like the ones on those German moleskin pants. But not as deep. Maybe like 5 inches deep?
I'll let everybody know how I get on when the stuff arrives.

I support and admire your willingness to put the needle to your fantastic FCL jacket.
