Thanks for the complements guys
@Anesthetist
I'd say they are more like warehouse 1001 denim but lighter in colour@Chiba J.
I mostly wear slimish cuts and I find that most full cuts drown me so the 1951's give me the fuller fit I've been after -
Feels so much better. Sz 40:
-
@Flash great to see you with the 51ers looking good. the 601xx is a great pair of jeans
@Anesthetist yes nice vest looks superb, I always love seeing vests worn and loved
-
Deck Jacket arrived today! Duck outer is nice and crispy. It should break in great over the winter (if we have one).
-
I went with a 42. I'm typically a Large in IH. Plenty of room in the body, arms and shoulders are on the skinnier side. Not a problem for me but something to keep on mind for anyone thinking about the jacket.
-
Yes, my Buco Racing Vest works great underneath which was an unexpected surprise.
-
OK, that vest looks like its right up my ally. do you mind giving some sizing info @Chiba J. ? ih size and what size is that vest?
The hunt begins -
I don't own any IH gear so can't really help there. But I seem to be similar size with Velo Audio and he says above he's an L in IH.
The air crew vests are sized large to wear over outerwear. My FW deck jacket above is sz 42 but I wear 40 in the air crew vest, obviously with room since I can still wear it over deck jacket as above. That said, it doesn't look huge over just a shirt or sweater.
You might have trouble finding this specific version. This is from two years ago when they first did this pattern in green and eggplant rip-stop. Last year they did the same pattern but with alpaca in khaki and navy jungle cloth. This year they changed it up and released a hoodless "aviators" version in brown and green.

dope fits, that vest is awesome & the wear on that denim is on the money.
-
Love that vest especially that color and it looks great over the deck jacket.
-

Today is a foggy day, perfect for my winter aviator's vest
