IH-526Jod - Overdyed Type III
-
All comments appreciated, but I think it's sick so it's going on for at least a little. I figure no harm if I get sick of it and take it off….
Tat, I get what you're saying, but the problem with that is that the back panel gets smaller toward the bottom and it's actually too small for the length of the patch.
It will be going on a tad higher though...

Ah yes wasn't considering the narrowing. Good call.

Just looking @ this photo in detail, so many reflections, and likely goes on forever if there was enough detail. Stupidly cool, and totally irrelevant to the discussion, but yeah, awesome (I'm going to pretend you're not in your underwear )

Ha…. Ranger panties all day and appreciate the kind words guys, in my eyes anyone can pull anything off as long as it's true to themselves and they feel comfortable in it. The rest will it take care of itself

Ranger panties, fuck yeah

IH Type III's are game changers. All of them. Each one is nicer then the next.

I would probably take one too G, providing similar sizing to the mighty type III duck!

I'm surprised that this wasn't more popular. As far as I know there are no other high quality over dyed classic cut type 3's.

I'm glad to see that others are interested in this one–I like that the black can contrast with most blue bottoms.
For veterans of this jacket--does it stay pretty black, even after some wear? Some of the great pix earlier in this thread make it seem that way!
I also like the regular 526J--is this one the same jacket but with the black over dye? In any case--I'm torn between the two (if this 526Jod comes back in my size).

I've made about 150 to date so it's not unpopular….

The only way to get anything like accurate is to measure your Levi's jacket like this…..

And then compare with our sizing charts
My 21oz have never been uncomfortable the 21oz selvedge denim is super soft
Thanks Giles–
OK--here is my attempt at measuring my Levis jacket:
Shoulders: 18 (which is just a touch looser than I'd like)
Length: 24.5 (which is a bit longer than I want, too--Levis seems to cut long)
Chest (pit to pit): 19.24
Bottom: 18 X 2 = 36
Arm: 25.5
This jacket fits pretty well--a bit longer than I like. So I'm thinking I'd like to go small with the 526J(od)--but I'd love to get your thoughts.
That's great to hear about the 21oz--
