Japan Trip - November 2010

So yesterday we went to 3 factories: Washing/Dyeing/Finsing plant (this is where we get the overdying done), the shirt making factory and the jeans/jackets/heavy shirts making factory.
This is a laser etcher, etching the design for one of our flaskers directly onto the the denim. Scary stuff:
This technology is absolutely wicked and opens up so many new possibilities in denim art on garments. A bit like an equivalent to tattoing on denim!
-
These are the blanket lined work jackets coming out of the rinser. They are rinsed, just to get excess starch out of them and to take all the shrinkeage out of the denim. Avaialable on a website very near you soon:
I hate to sound like a broken record, but what about the type 3 jacket with lining and hand pockets?
-
damn, that laser thing opens up a new door . endless possibilities…

If those are kids' jawns, then I wanna have some offspring of my own… Anyone wanna help me with that?..
They are one of a few pairs that Haraki did as publicity stuff a few years ago. I have asked for a few more to be made, but they come in one size only and are not really designed to be worn.

Still in that Deerskin Jacket no less… haha
